Works really well.
Easy to set up. Looks nice. Reflects heat and protects the bricks.

Improve fireplace efficiancy
How much heat is reflected into the room surprised me. I planned on adding a heat-exchanger that employed a fan. No longer necessary.

it is good - but needs a minor improvement
Nice - but needs a minor improvement -- the legs to hold the fireback are not strong enough - one completely smashed while installing -- but I bent it back by hand easily - which displays it's it not strong enough to hold the weight properly... otherwise i recommend it...

Heat Reflector
It looks good, but really doesn't reflect as much heat as I originally thought it would. It's functional for it's purpose.

Works better than described!
I did a lot of research on these, thickness, weight, shape, and they do work. I bought this one first to protect my degrading 80+ year old brick. It is doing that fine, protecting the repairs I have made to the brick.Radiating Heat: It does this surprisingly well. It's not going to radiate like a hair dryer. 1st you need to know what your current fireplace feels like with a full fire at 3ft away, 6ft, 8ft. Once you are completely familiar with how that feels, install this shield. Same fire in my fireplace my son's and I both agree the heat is felt much stronger at 3 and 6 feet away. This is because the brick absorbs the heat, this metal shield does not. Especially these thinner ones. I don't think I need those heavy cast iron ones as they may absorb the heat similar to the brick. These are more affordable, easier to move around when cleaning the fireplace, protect the brick and radiate heat much better than brick.TIP before buying: Cut out several large cardboard sizes of these heat shields and use to find the correct size in your fireplace. I made three and now have the perfect size in my fireplace. Good luck and enjoy!
