One of my favorite authors - great collection!
Absolutely brilliant classic. It is hard to find a decent collection of Cordwainer Smith. This one is not perfect, but is very good. Definitely read Norstrillia next! I wish there was more to read in this world.

I love Cordwainer Smith
Five stars for the stories. I love Cordwainer Smith. However, the ebook formatting is seriously crappy. It looks like someone ran the printed text through a scanner, said "That's good enough" and published it. It seriously detracts from my enjoyment of the stories. I have this book in paperback. I was looking forward to having an ebook version to carry around, but this is much worse than the usual Kindle formatting. Disappointed.

One of my forever scifi faves
One my favorite scifi authors from the 1950s, this book includes many of my favorite of this author's stories. This is a storyteller I still enjoy from time to time for his creativity and his way with words. Now that my entire library travels with me everywhere in my Kindle, naturally I would want this book included. In my opinion, still one of the best reads in all science fiction.

Groundbreaking science fiction, what imagination!
Smith deserves to be better known IMO for this groundbreaking collection of stories. Some of these stories are sure to disturb some but left me to reflect on what humanity is.

Scanners Dye In Vein
The stories are good and Smith is certainly an excellent writer but the style is dated as are the background assumptions behind the stories. Recommend but a little stilted.

The best science fiction stories!
I highly recommend the book written by the late remarkable Paul M. Linebarger.

Early S/F master
Cordwainer Smith is no where near as well known as he should be. I was very happy to find this collection. However, it appears to be poorly edited and translated to ebook. I'll have to double check against my hard copies, but I believe at least two of the stories are missing some lines. The ToC could be better.Still, it's really the only collection of Smith out there. This is some of the best prose to come out of the Gernsbach era of S/F, as well as some of the most politically progressive. Even by today's standards, Smith's world was fairly inclusive. That also makes this wonderful early work a great contrast to the harsh conservativism of the post-war era S/F.

Sci Fi at it's best
Little known today, Smith's stories create a world of imaginative wonder and unusual compassion.

An extraordinary visionary
"Smith", not his real name, wrote some of the most imaginative stories you are ever likely to read. And human rights are always involved, especially with the animals elevated to near humans, but without any rights. Am amazing writer.
