Product description TOPBUXUS XenTari Raupen-& Zünslerfrei is a biological insecticide containing a natural, potent strain of the microorganism Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies aizawai (Bta) that controls caterpillar pest. the micro-granules with water. Ideally 3 gram for 3 litre of water for 30 m² of boxwood surface. Thoroughly spray the upper and under sides of the leaves to make spraying effective. When a caterpillar eats the treated leaves, it ingests the “Cry” proteins from TOPBUXUS XenTari Raupen-& Zünslerfrei. The protein crystals are solubilized in the gut of the caterpillar and gut cells are irreparably damaged. Once this damage occurs, Bta spores enter through the gut wall and germinate rapidly in the body cavity causing blood poisoning. The larvae then die in 1-3 days. When a caterpillar eats the XenTari-treated leaves, its feeding stops within 1 hour. Although affected caterpillars die in a couple of days, the damage to the boxwood stops after 1 hour. Note: the caterpillars die only after they have eaten from the treated leaf. Sometimes the caterpillars do not start eating immediately, so they will not die immediately but do not cause any damage either. With its highly specific activity and natural origin, TOPBUXUS XenTari Raupen-& Zünslerfrei does not harm important beneficial insects such as bees for pollination, insect predators, and parasites used in control of other insect pests. TOPBUXUS XenTari Raupen-& Zünslerfrei is also not harmful to humans, wildlife or the environment.Preferably treat the plants if the temperature is above 15°C.Repeat the treatment after 1 to 2 weeks. TOPBUXUS XenTari Raupen-& Zünslerfrei can be used in combination with TOPBUXUS HEALTH-MIX.Before use carefully read the label and all instructions inside the packaging ! Ingredients Bacillus Thuringiensis subsp. Aizawai

Real review - Surrey - it works but triple the dose
I bought this product and at first used one sachet per litre, it killed some but not all, in the interest of just getting rid of the hundred of box caterpillars we had and saving our bush I decided to then mix the remaining 18 sachets into 5 litres so triple the recommended. I would say our overall knee heigh bush is about 12 meters in total. Within a few days all were dead and two weeks on no sign of life after a very close inspection. Naturally they may well return next year but I’m encouraged that this isa product that works. I used a pump pressure garden sprayer to apply.

Kills Boxwood Moth Caterpillars
There isn't really much you need to know about this. These caterpillars are really evil pests. They happily munch their way through healthy box trees which then die quickly. No one seemed to have a solution so we watched three suffer. A top gardener recommended this natural product and suggested that the first does should be double the recommended amount and then every subsequent fortnightly one should revert to normal. It worked. The caterpillars died and we haven't seen them since. Ordered some more for this year as we assume they'll return but we're ready to kill them again.

This Product Saved My Garden
This works a treat. I have quite a large number of Buxus and it would have devastated the garden if they all went the same way. One spray with this product combined with the same brand fertiliser and the caterpillars were done for and a few weeks later the two bushes they totally devastated by eating every leaf and leaving a residue of brown leaf scraps covered in a cobwebby substance have bright green new growth all over (see photo) It’s encouraging that there is new growth throughout the bush, not just on the surface, I’m sure they will fully recover.

Finally something to treat these invasive pests! It really works!
Wow. This stuff actually works.I found my first box caterpillar on my plants in Buckinghamshire last year. They damaged a lot of the plants, and I tried garlic spray to reduce their feeding. This slowed them down, but it didn’t kill them.I didn’t hold up much hope after researching options online.I’m so glad I got this. It worked exactly as described. Within 2 days all caterpillars are dead. There are enough sachets in here to last me a couple of years I hope. So it’s good value, and these caterpillars can kill plants. If you want to find an option to kill box caterpillars, this is the right one for your garden.

Saving boxwood
I bought this product last year after discovering my boxwood topiary was being eaten by the boxwood caterpillar. It worked so well and I managed to save all my hedging and box topiary.I thought I should be prepared for this year so have ordered early!I also bought traps for the male moth. They are attracted into it by moth female pheromones and I caught plenty!

Eliminates box moth caterpillars!
I bought this product to eliminate the mass of caterpillars munching their way through my box hedges. I had already tried caterpillar targeted sprays from the garden centre but they were useless. This stuff is AMAZING! Comes in 1g sachets (which you dissolve into 1litre of water). You need some sort of sprayer to distribute it with. I bought a 2litre pump top one from Amazon and it did the job brilliantly. I pushed the sprayer into the box hedge so I didn't just coat the outside and I also used it when the temperature was over 15 degrees C as instructed. I used it once every 8-9 days (3 times in total) in April-May and it was very gratifying to see lots of dead black caterpillars on the hedge a few days later. Now there's lots of new growth on the hedge and so far the caterpillars haven't returned - but when they do I'll be ready for them!! I've also got a TopBuxus moth catcher which I've hung in a nearby tree and has trapped lots of male moths so that was a good buy too!

Gets rid of those box caterpillars.
Easy to use and effective against box caterpillar. We had an infestation last summer and this product got rid of it well. The caterpillars disappeared almost immediately. We are now spraying as a precautionary measure every month to six weeks even though we don’t see any caterpillars. So far this has stopped any caterpillars from re-emerging.

Don’t get as many packets included as you use too (although same cost)
I first ordered this product April 2020 having discovered a large quantity of caterpillars killing my box hedges. The package came next day and it really does work amazing, can not fault it - however back in 2020 the box included approximately 15 sachets of powder at a cost of £14.99 - I have purchased two further boxes this year 2021 (I am trying to stop the caterpillars from returning) at the same cost as before and the boxes now only contain 5 sachets!
