Lonely Planet Turkey (Travel Guide)

This is one of the best to get you ready for the trip.
Quite heavy to travel with you especially if you do not wantro see all Turkey but this book is overall well-written and received five star rating from me. Well done.

So much to learn in here.
I am studying this book to prepare for a trip to Turkey one year from now. I think if I really understood everything in this book I would be qualified to lead tours, not just plan my own. There is so much in here, history, politics, language, places to go and what to expect. It is a bit over whelming but I'm still on it.

Good travel guide.
Planning a trip to another country that you know little about is always a challenge. Lonely Planet Turkey guide has really helped me learn about the country, where things are, what to do and not do. It has a fold-out map of Istanbul, which is helpful. The reason for 4 stars is that it doesn't have a foldout map of all of Turkey. That would have made the book perfect.

Great Overview of Turkey
A lot of details about Turkey, appreciated the background even if I had a pre/planned itinerary just to help me have context.

Very detailed
With an upcoming trip to Turkey, this book has been very informative. We have things pre planned so that there are no surprises, but this still gives a lot of good insight on what to expect & other things to do.

Good except prices
As usual, LP gave us great info on our destination and good ideas of what to see. However, due to extreme inflation in Turkey, the prices in this edition are garbage. No fault of LP - but just beware if you are using it.
