Berkley IronSilk Fishing Line

Actually impressed. I have had the 8 lb and 17 lb spooled for about 6-8 months now and the low memory is fantastic. The line handles well and seems durable. I will phase out my traditional mono's with this line.

This is one of the best fishing lines out there it casts very fare and super strong great in heavy cover

Turned over rocks in lake Erie, broken size 2/0 catfish hooks, all before my 8lb test broke... Super low memory, ultra smooth casting. And yes highly abrasion resistant awesome line.

Outstanding line. I use only monofilament so I usually change line on reels every few weeks when fishing regularly to prevent kinks and twists. Forgot to change this line after a two month layoff and amazingly it was as limp as string - no twists, kinks or knots. Line is very strong, abrasion resistant (especially compared to mono) and durable. Only line I'll use now.

This is my first try at the IronSilk, been using Berkley Products for 50+ years, so I have high expectations. I tried it recently and it performs well out of the box. I noticed right away the smoothness in which it casts and the increased distance I was getting. The color seems to blend well and I caught a few fish right away and lost a couple more (not the line's fault..lol). So far, so good and I would recommend this.

good all purpose line for me--the feel of it is soft, unlike some other cheaper monos..i don't know if the fish can see it but i have a hard time finding it in the crappie creeks.

Casts well and knot strength seems,good but neither are above average. The green line is very visible in even stained water.

I thought this line was OK but almost a little too thin. The color made this line virtually impossible for me to see when tying a knot. Certainly strong and impossible to break.
