Ultra Test Strips Blue 25 Ct

Previously when I looked online for more test strips, I couldn't find these exact strips. Instead, I found another brand called Gen Ultimate, which said they work with the One Touch meters. So I bought them, and trusted them to be accurate. My control solution was way expired, so I had no way to check them. I should have bought new control solution, but instead trusted the strips.So I've been using them for 2 years, and my sugars have been consistently high. Morning, fasting glucose from 139 to 145-ish, (prediabetic range). I also had some lab work done 6 months ago that said my glucose was 179, right after a huge breakfast. I didn't know I was going to get labs done that day or I would've waited to eat. But it also showed my A1C was in the normal range.And all during this time using the Gen Ultimate strips I have been eating mostly a keto diet, but my numbers kept getting worse, not better. Then 2 weeks ago, I had more labs drawn, and was fasted 18 hours. My glucose was only 95, and A1C again was normal. However, the Gen Ultimate strips were pegging my glucose at well over 200. So I checked the expiration date, and they were good til early 2025.None of this made any sense, so I started researching glucometers in general, thinking maybe mine was bad and needing replacing. In my search, I found a youtube video a guy made comparing the Gen Ultimate strips. His results showed they were NOT ACCURATE. I was instantly mad, but chose to get new One Touch branded strips + new control solution to check my meter, and try comparing results.New control solution test + Gen Ultimate strips = 277Glucose test with Gen Ultimate = 175New control solution test + One Touch strips = 142Glucose with One Touch strips = 95So now I have been testing daily with the NEW ONE TOUCH strips, and my 2 and 4 hour postprandial glucose readings have been 88 and 58 in the last two days. Clearly I am in ketosis, as I should be from cutting out almost all carbs, eating mostly proteins and HIGH fat.I trust those readings because most of my life I had HYPO-glycemia, and like a diabetic who takes insulin and doesn't eat, I would get the same jittery feeling, a little loopy and weak. So I knew my glucose was low when I got that jittery feeling, and immediately tested with my new One Touch strips. That was the reading of 58.Bottom line... DON'T USE ANY OTHER BRAND OF STRIPS NO MATTER WHAT THEY CLAIM.

These test strips work well and I like the simple and quick home delivery.

Fits my blood sugar measuring device perfectly even it is a different model than what I use.

They are die cut and stick together. Makes is almost impossible for my arthritic hands to manipulate. Add to the annoyance, they are expensive. Accuracy? Who can tell when the calibration window is so large on all these glucometers.

So cost effective, love the speed of delivery
