This is the first volume for The Jungle Jim Movie Collection (3 disc set). Johnny Weissmuller starred in a series of films as Jungle Jim, a character first depicted in a comic strip by Alex Raymond (creator of Flash Gordon) and Don Moore. Weissmuller played a hunter with a deep knowledge of the Indigenous people of the area, its land, and animals. Most often Jim faced off against evil and greedy scientists who were attempting to exploit the region, its people, or resources for profit. This volume contains Jungle Jim / Voodoo Tiger / Savage Mutiny / Jungle Man-Eaters / Cannibal Attack / Devil Goddess.

This review is for my recently purchased JUNGLE JIM MOVIE COLLECTION Volume 1 DVD. For anyone confused by the disc's REGION 1 Code (instead of seeing REGION A,B,C, etc) ... do not fret. DVDs use"numbered" REGION Codes and BLU-RAYs use the "lettered" codes. Everyone should own a REGION-FREE PLAYER makes life so much more enjoyable and accessible. Simply place your REGION coded DVD into that player and it will recognize the disc properly.As for the actual review of my purchase ... this DVD collection (from UMBRELLA) is superb!!! The transfers are impeccably clean and sharp. High recommended. Awaiting my next arrivals for Volumes 2 and 3. Very pleased ... no "bungle in the jungle" with UMBRELLA quality. (LOL). Enjoy!

What Region Is This DVD?
Just received this dvd set only to open & find that it is Region 4.......Never even heard of that region b4 however, it apparently only plays in Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Central America, Mexico, South America, Carribbean Region. Of course, this site says Nowhere that it is Region 4. The only way I found out was after taking factory wrapping off to reveal the Region code on the back cover which was hidden by a factory barcode sticker. How cheezy. I was led to believe this item would play in the US (Region 1). Shall be returned for full refund immediately! How deceiving! Don't buy this item if u live in the US. It will never play in Region 1 players.

Nice quality for an old TV series
Love Johnny W. Lots of action and decent plots. Johnny W.'s Tarzan was better, but these are a nice addition too.

Tarzan brought life to a wild jungle. Jungle Jim carried that wild life slightly more gentle for a new generation of children
