Disappointed. Doesn't stretch, leaves glue on hands.
I used to tape my thumbs with kinesio tape, and the experience was usually good - KT is durable and flexible, so it feels great on the hand, doesn't rub through and provides excellent protection. However, I always thought it was wasteful (KT is expensive) and not very convenient (because it has a layer that needs to be peeled off, and you need scissors). After reading the rave reviews for this Goat tape, I was excited to buy one! But after using it a few times for lifting, I can say that I'm very disappointed - the only good thing about it is that it can be torn off the roll without scissors. Other than that, it's pretty terrible - it feels like paper, doesn't stretch at all and is hard to wrap around thumbs without it wrinkling. If I add just one layer, I don't feel secure, if I add more, it won't let me bend my thumb and is uncomfortable. And worst of all, it leaves glue on the skin when I take it off - and that glue is really hard to wash off. A roll of kinesio tape costs just a few bucks more than Goat tape - so I guess I'll stick with that one for my activities.Update: ended up getting Jerkfit Nubs for my thumbs and can't be happier.

Best Thumb Tape on the Market
If you are buying goat tape you should know what you are getting yourself into. This tape is excellent in most climates, in high elevation/ dry you may have a bit of trouble having it stick to your thumbs but in East Texas it’s great, (humid, hot, sweaty). Eventually the sweat will loosen the tape a bit but it’ll still stay on. I recommend tearing it every 6 goats and then ripping those in half so you have 6 long skinny pieces of tape(3 for each thumb) start at the base of the thumb, wrap around TIGHT then top of thumb down also pretty tight and middle of thumb with last piece TIGHT. You might want to have a slight bend in your thumb while doing that. But literally it’s a fool proof method and that tape will stick to your thumbs until you rip it off. The adhesive will stay on for a couple of days even with thorough scrubbing, but it’s not sticky, it’s just sort of there.

Scary Sticky indeed!
I've been using this for ankle strapping after a pretty bad injury left me needing some extra support. This is the best tape to use! It offers a lot of support and stays on as long as you need it. I've been able to go swimming and shower with this tape on for days! It doesn't peel or come loose unless you do it yourself. I can't comment on the weightlifting benefit here, but if you are looking for a strong, sturdy, long-lasting tape, this is it.

Ok for the price
I mean you get what you pay for. There are other way more expensive brands that will stick in your fingers forever, with these ones I have to ensure I wrap them real tight or else they will get loose in mid workout. I use them for CrossFit so for me it’s important to have them on, and also since I use so much I can’t spare on very expensive brands. So I think they do there job... and OK for the price

Not sweaty hand friendly
I originally bought this after I ran out of WOD N Done finger tape and this product had enough good reviews to give it a try. The positives are you get a decent amount for the money, you can cut it to your preferred length, it usually tears without scissors. The negatives are sometimes it may not tear without scissors and you're stuck with a role dangling from your hand trying to hunt down scissors, this has no bend and bunches up instead of giving coverage and movement, once your hand start to sweat it slides and rolls. I tried these for pull-ups on my thumb and it didn't even make it to 15 before they rolled up to the knuckle and were pointless.

Super grippy - lots of tape
Used this to wrap my home dumbbells and homemade barbell. Immediately felt a difference with the grip. This really makes the workout much more comfortable. The dumbbells used to slip upon higher weights and move from side to side since my grip gets sweaty during the workout and the knurl is not the highest quality. This tape made all the difference. This allows for full focus and actual exercise instead of partially worrying about grip position. Also, one roll is quite a bit of tape. Great purchase.

Perfect as a new CrossFitter
I just started CrossFit and was looking for something like this to use to tape my thumbs or other areas where blisters had previously developed when doing strength training or when hanging on the bar. This is perfect! It stays in place and doesn't leave much residue on my skin. When I peel it and re-stick, it actually sticks. I had previously tried some medical tape (prior to ordering this) and it almost peeled of instantly. This endures through my entire workout with minimal movement/rolling and was just what I needed to help protect my hands while I work up my resistance.

Good tape, just expensive :-/
I do like this tape, it's probably the best I've used, but it does work out quite expensive. The main use I give this tape is taping my thumbs when cleaning or snatching. This really helps, because it stops you getting blisters, but also makes it much easier to grip during exercises requiring a hook grip. The problem with it is, despite only using it to tape my thumbs, it does run out quickly and at £10.00 a pop, you're probably looking at about £50 a year, depending how much you train... quite a sum for tape. That said, when I do tear my hands because I've forgot to put tape on, it reminds me that perhaps it's a necessary expensive for weightlifters...

It’s “ok” but not great!
I think there are stickier tapes out there that will do a better job. My physio gave me some other tape a while ago which was awesome, this product is nowhere near as good. It works ok if you’re wrapping it end-to-end i.e. around a finger, thumb or wrist...but if you want it to cross your hand to protect palms, cover calluses, etc. It’s no good for this, as just not sticky enough. I will use this roll but won’t be buying it again.

Saved Thumbs during Crossfit Open
Worked well, saved my thumbs during as noted above during Crossfit Open.Friend ordered thumb numbs but they didn't come in time so the tape was shared and again worked well.It isn't cheap but then neither are creams and plaster for torn skin and lost days in the gym in another way, so I will be purchasing again in the future

Serves its purpose well
Would purchase again, although I think the black one looks better as the white often gets grimy at the gym. But very stick & genuinely stays in through the full WOD. Serves its purpose well.

Not sticky
Not sure if its a problem with this particular one, maybe its old or something by the time it was sent out but its certainly not sticky making it not fit for purpose.
