I purchased this twist throttle kit to replace my old twist throttle unit on my 2003 Honda XR-50R pitbike. I really didn't know what to expect for the $9.99 I payed for this kit but once I received it, I was more than happy. The twist throttle & throttle cable was made from high quality parts & I am very satisfied with them without any doubts. The included black color handlebar grips are on the hard side when it comes to softness but I had no problem with that, being I was going to use Scotts - Hurricane MX Blue color grips anyways. I will use them on an other dirtbike at a later time & keep them for a spare set. You can't see in the pictures listed for this product that the twist throttle plastic tube has raised ridges all the way down it because the twist throttles grip is already mounted to the twist throttle plastic tube & is covered up in the picture. I think this is an excellent feature & it helps keep the grip from spinning on the the plastic tube once you mount new grips on the twist throttle plastic tube. The throttle cable was the perfect size length for my XR-50R pitbike that has a tall BMX style handlebar kit on it & worked out great without having any excess slack to have to worry about once the twist throttle kit was mounted to my handlebars.Even better, the OEM XR/CRF-50 90 degree angle style throttle cables will also fit the mounting hole in this twist throttle kit which is a huge bonus for when needing to find a new throttle cable to fit correctly in the future if one is needed. The twist throttle metal housing is black glossy planted & the finish is very well painted & it has chrome allen head bolts to hold it together that look good against the black finish. I had no damage to the twist throttle kit at all from shipping. My order also came to me very fast & only took two days for me to receive it with free shipping, which was excellent. I have nothing but great things to say about this twist throttle kit & I am very happy with my purchase. For the very low cost that this twist throttle costs & how good the quality is, you can't go wrong with this purchase. It was worth every single penny !!!

Bought it for my son's pocket bike. The original cable snapped inside the throttle , and upon disassembly, I realized the plastic housing was split where the cable adjuster threads into it. I decided on this because it has a metal housing. It's probably cheap Chinese metal, but cheap Chinese metal is better than cheap Chinese plastic. The cable is a few inches longer than the original, but not by very much. The bike's fairing hides the excess just fine. It didn't need replaced, but we swapped out the original left grip for the one included in this set just because it was included.

Was a very clean and easy install and was well worth the price considering the only down fall to it is it doesn’t have a place to hook the “kill switch” to as it does when it’s factory but other then that the quality of it was better then expected!

I've had this throttle set up for over a year now, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Everything fit relatively well, with very few adjustments needing to be made. My handle bars kind of narrow a bit on certain parts, so I had to use a bit of electrical tape as a buffer to get a nice snug fit, but that's no fault of the item itself.I off-road a lot on my shock-less minibike, so it's definitely being ridden pretty rough on a regular basis. That being said, I've experienced no issues whatsoever with this item. Cable is holding strong. The plastic piece in the handle bar you thread the cable to is undamaged, etc. All in all, a solid, reliable product.Bottom line: I'd recommend getting it if you're in need. I'd purchase another one myself when I am.

Grips and throttle are great, runs smooth and works great. The cable that came with did not have enough travel to work properly in the provided throttle housing, so I had to use the stock cable.

Good product

I used the product to replace a throttle handle on a 1988-early 90’s Gamefisher outboard boat motor. It fit perfectly. I have no complaints. The product is well built and I especially like the metal cable housing by the throttle handle. The product arrived on time and intact. There were no installation instructions with the product but if you order it you should know what you’re dealing with.

works with vm22 carb to take the slack out of the stock throttle cable. very good deal.
