INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER As you read these words, copies of you are being created. Sean Carroll, theoretical physicist and one of this world’s most celebrated writers on science, rewrites the history of 20th century physics. Already hailed as a masterpiece, Something Deeply Hidden shows for the first time that facing up to the essential puzzle of quantum mechanics utterly transforms how we think about space and time. His reconciling of quantum mechanics with Einstein’s theory of relativity changes, well, everything. Most physicists haven’t even recognized the uncomfortable truth: physics has been in crisis since 1927. Quantum mechanics has always had obvious gaps—which have come to be simply ignored. Science popularizers keep telling us how weird it is, how impossible it is to understand. Academics discourage students from working on the "dead end" of quantum foundations. Putting his professional reputation on the line with this audacious yet entirely reasonable book, Carroll says that the crisis can now come to an end. We just have to accept that there is more than one of us in the universe. There are many, many Sean Carrolls. Many of every one of us. Copies of you are generated thousands of times per second. The Many Worlds Theory of quantum behavior says that every time there is a quantum event, a world splits off with everything in it the same, except in that other world the quantum event didn't happen. Step-by-step in Carroll's uniquely lucid way, he tackles the major objections to this otherworldly revelation until his case is inescapably established. Rarely does a book so fully reorganize how we think about our place in the universe. We are on the threshold of a new understanding—of where we are in the cosmos, and what we are made of. Review: Thought provoking - The most amazing book I have ever read. Quantum mechanics is a less trodden path and this book anchors young minds to courageously test it's boundaries and question all we know and search for all there is. It is science in it's pure form. Review: An eye opener to the actual reality of what this universe is made of. - This book probes the mystery of time and space like no other book I have read. Read this if you are wondering what quantum mechanics is all about. Written for the laymen without any technical jargon.

Excellent
Very good exposition for laymen like me who have studied Physics up to undergraduate level only. However, a more detailed coverage of explanation for Young's double-slit experiment from the many-worlds point-of-view would have been appreciated. It appears the author is unaware of the 19th century origins of this experiment, which I found mystifying considering his vast knowledge of quantum origins evidenced by the rest of the text.

Bird's eye view from Einstein to Modern Quantum theories
Takes the reader through a lot of historical background, and the pain that some scientists went through trying to explain Quantum Mechanics in unacceptable terms to the scientific community. If "Conversations from the edge of the Apocalypse" gave different philosophical perspectives to explaining the real world, this book comes close to explaining in scientific terms. At the end though, the Multi-world theory seems to be just one step in this mystery of explaining the real-world. And it does not cover Cosmology, though Super-determinism is mentioned in a couple of pages.

Scientific spiritualism
Those who r looking to satisfy their intellect and spiritualism with scientific explanantion, this book will help u and clear all doubt. This book has changed my overall percpective. Thnaks to Sean Caroll.. Now I have started consuming all quantum.mechanics topics and will come back to read this book again. In fact I have become believer of many worlds after reading this book.

The mindblower of mind mindblowers
Great book, not that easy to understand and requires deep thinking. As per the book, there are thousands of copies of me being created while I'm typing this review :D. I completed the book and still not convinced of the many worlds interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, however, it is fascinating to read about QM and the various interpretations of it. And the fact the MW interpretation is actually the one with less assumptions i.e. more natural interpretation of them all.

Quantum Reality
I have read many books on quantum physics. This book is a gem and well worth reading several times. It’s written in layman’s terms. Even then some parts are hard to comprehend.
