Finally static is under control
When the weather turns dry, I always find static building up on my body when I sit down to my computer. It was reaching the point that if my fingers brushed the metal case, a spark would jump and zap the system, causing the screen to shut down, and forcing me to power cycle to recover. Not fun!This mouse pad is just about perfect. It has a long cord to reach the grounded outlet on the wall, and it's very easy to get in the habit of touching the mousepad first, before doing anything else with the computer. I regularly get a strong ZAP from the pad, which tells me that I would have zapped and probably killed my computer once again, if I hadn't touched the pad first. Thanks!

Grounding Mat
I didn't at first know that the one metal plug was only what was needed thought it had to have the two connect and the single one 🔌 It has only the single one to grown with. Now I know that is all that was needed for it to work. Used it this morning and will be using it each day. When at the computer I put my bare feet on the mat. Seems to help with energy after wards.

Doesn't work
The wire is broken and does not connect from one end to the other, so it can't actually ground. I have returned 2 of them as they were both faulty.

The mat works for me. I don’t get any shocks at work anymore like I did without it.

My mouse doesn't work on this--cursor doesn't move on the screen
My Adesso optical mouse doesn't work on this. It works a little on the back side, but not as well as my old mouse pad. Rather that sending it back, I will use it under my keyboard. I have to put my non-mouse hand somewhere so that will be my grounded hand. Still a mouse pad should work as a mouse pad. I think this is too black and smooth to work with an optical mouse. Aren't they all optical these days.UPDATE: I got a Logitech B100 mouse and it works fine.

Actually works
This device actually grounds me. Im not using at a computer but just use it on the couch to keep me grounded since the couch is electric and gives me high voltage. I tested it with my husband's multimeter and it actually works. I find I feel better when I spend most of the day and night grounded.

Lousy as a mouse pad.
This may be good for other stuff but a mouse pad it's not. Waaaayyyy too hard to move the mouse. Ugh.
