5 sizzlingly hot stars :)
This is the first book in a trilogy co-written by the very talented duo of authors, revolving all around one sizzlingly hot couple... *fans herself* is it hot in here? ;) I adore both Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank individually, but when they team up, a pure magical story is created :) I loved their previous trilogy, PresLocke series :) if you read that one, and thought it was hot and awesome, you will immediately fall in love with this story ;) I mean... I thought I knew what I was getting myself into when I started it... yeah... it was even better than my already very high expectations :) but before I get into all the reasons why it's a gem that all of you need to read immediately, let me say a few more words about the plot of this novel :)This is a phenomenally written and totally addictive rock star romance... :) on the one hand we have Viper: lead guitarist and songwriter for the TBD, a rock group widely known and loved all around the world... he's snarky and sarcastic, always honest and totally have those alpha vibes that can make you week in the knees ;) the situation got complicated when Trent, their lead singer left them abruptly a few months ago... if that name sounds familiar, it's cause he's the hero of one of Brooke's novel (read "A little bit like desire" if you want to know more) and ever since then, they are looking for his replacement, which is not an easy thing... until Halo comes along :) where Viper is all devil-ish and seducing, Halo looks and sounds like an angel... a sexy angel, but angel nonetheless :) with his blond hair, blue eyes and seductive voice, he's exactly what TBD needs... and at this moment I would like to say that the cover to this gem is so spot on... *sighs dreamily* this is exactly how I picture Halo in my mind :) now I am both excited and scared to see the cover of the sequel, because it's titled "Viper" and what if I'm gonna be disappointed? I guess we shall see about that when it becomes available... ;) Halo is about ten years younger than the rest of the band members and just... so innocent :) let's just say that the nickname that Viper's calling him is perfect :) Angel... oh but how much fun will it be to corrupt him ;) Halo is straight...or that's what he always thought about himself... but things start to get interesting when Viper keeps flirting with him... and once you read this story you will know why he's totally irresistible :) ok, now that we have these few details out of the way let me jump into all the praises I have about this gem :)I loved this story so much that I'm not sure where to start with all the amazing things I have to say about it :) the writing style was just... *sighs dreamily* I have no adjectives good enough to describe how wonderful it was :) I was hooked from the very first page, and then just kept on reading until there were no more words left ;) I just couldn't put it down ;) it was sinfully hot and sizzlingly seductive... *fans herself* I swear, I thought I knew what I would get, after reading and loving PresLocke series co-written by this duo, but this one? man oh man, it was even hotter... ;) the sexual tension and chemistry was off the charts... ;) add to that sarcastic banter with lots of innuendos and you will be blushing a lot... ;) the main couple is fantastic... I feel like we only just scratched the surface when it comes to both of them, and I can't wait to read the next installments to know more about each of them... already in this novel we see glimpses into both Viper and Halo that may surprise you... in the best possible way of course :) I really liked the other members of the group as well, and I'm hoping we will see even more of them in the sequels :) especially Killian :) the book is written in 2 POVs, which means we have chapters written from Viper's perspective, as well as ones from Halo's point of view :) they are very distinctive and you can see the difference between the jaded and cynical Viper and wide-eyed and a bit naive Halo... ;) this duo of authors works perfectly well with each other, because their words flow effortlessly, and you couldn't tell that two different people wrote this story :) since this is the first book about Viper and Halo, there's no real resolution to stuff... there's also no cliffhanger... at least not the kind that will leave you wanting to throw your kindle through the window ;) but to say that I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment would be an understatement :) fortunately for all of us, the sequel goes live next month, with the concluding novel being published in april, so the wait won't be that long :) I highly recommend you to pick this gem as soon as possible, because you all need these characters in your lives... ;) oh, and I almost forgot to tell you one of my favourite things in this story... lyrics to the songs... *sighs happily* let's just say that I wish someone would actually record them, cause I would loooooove to listen to them :) but for now reading them just have to be enough... ;)

The strangest discovery of a book that I couldn't put down.
To start off this review, I'd like to honestly tell you that I was never really drawn to same sex romance novels. I'm far from a homophobe, mind you, but growing up my romantic influences were based largely upon your typical cookie cutter, boy meets girl, run of the mill story lines, until one day, I found myself playing a game, that entirely switched the game up, and when I tell you all that I was playing a game? I mean that in the most literal sense of the word.See, a little over a year ago, as I was dealing with a bout of restlessness I decided to download a game called Chapters, which is basically an interactive story platform where you get to choose character responses which in turn effect the outcome of the story itself, and that was where I found this gem of a series. That's right, hidden amongst the LGBTQ category was "Halo". Another Chapters story book, that when I started reading it was supposed to be just another way to pass the time. Nothing special, until of course it was.I won't bore you with the details of the Chapters game and what I thought of the book's conclusion on there because the truth is, Chapters as a short story game? Could never do the Fallen Angel series, or Halo, for that matter, any real justice. Which is ultimately how and why, I ended up here. Because once I got a "taste" of what the book had to offer, I found myself wanting more, and boy, did Ella and Brooke deliver more in spades.Halo and Viper are two of the most magnificently magnetic characters that I have come across in years in all my of reading romance novels. So much so that I found myself coming back to continue reading when I had a free moment during the day, or before I went to bed at night. Halo, at first, appearing to be just your typical heterosexual male, hungry for a chance at stardom after playing in empty dive bars for so many years with no real successes to show for it, until he sends in an audition tape to TBD, a band known to him and thousands of others as a rock success story, if there ever was one, and ends up becoming not only the lead singer in a band looking for both a fresh start and a new sound, but becoming the object of desire for his fellow bandmate's, Viper, the known play boy of the group who can easily be described as the "love 'em and leave 'em" type to say the very least.Halo, and the Fallen Angel series itself is a mixture of humor, sexiness, and romance that if you're anything like myself, will only disappoint you with its brevity as each character and each storyline is so beautifully designed to leave the reader wanting more. 5 stars for me, wasn't nearly enough!

Cliff hanger a little
Its a book split into many. While the storyline was fine. It was a little instant for a straight guy no qualms at all..

Loved it!
I indecently LOVE a rockstar romance and knew Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank would tackle it with the same fabulousness that they do in all their writing. I was not even a little bit disappointed. Add in a bad boy with a dirty mouth and mind, but with a heart of gold and more attitude that any one man needs, and they had me hook, line, and sinker. The boys of the band TBD are in a rough spot. Months after their lead singer walked out of the studio, never to return, they have yet to replace him. Audition after audition and not one viable candidate. Then in walks their salvation, Halo, a man as angelic as his name suggests. He knows all their songs and has all the swagger a frontman needs even with his youth, and Viper, lead guitarist, is smitten at first sight. Problem is, Halo isn’t into guys. But sometimes chemistry can’t be denied both as a band and between these men. From start to finish I couldn’t resist Viper and his quick wit anymore than Halo could. I loved their rise as a new band from the ashes of TBD and how connected Viper and Halo were with their music. The writing session where Halo wowed them all was magical. I couldn’t put this book down (totally typical for me and this favorite writing duo) and glad I planned these for a long weekend!

Great book
After Trent, the lead singer of TBD, walked away from the band, the group was forced to audition new singers. It took months of auditions, then in walks, Halo. Viper is the bitter, and the lead guitarist of TBD took notice. I loved this story and am excited to read Viper's story. These two ladies never disappoint.

No decepcionan, divertida, sexy...

I didn‘t enjoy a book so much since Robbie and his guys! There was so much chemistry between the two of them!

An enjoyable tale
I was uncertain wether I’d enjoy this story but I can honestly say im glad I bought it . It’s about a very successful band TBD who’s lead singer Trent Knox decided to walk out on them ,the rest of the band who are Killan,Viper,Jagger,& Slade are left in a state of shock . In an attempt to carry on with TBD they hold auditions for another lead singer and after many disappointing candidates they finally get one that fits their needs . Enter Halo who is exactly what they’re looking for so they offer him the job , their first gig to introduce Halo as the new lead singer doesn’t go well when some of the fans obviously don’t like that they’ve got a new lead singer, and start to boo and chant for Trent to return . When they finish the gig the band drown their sorrows , but soon realise that they don’t want to loose Halo the group decide to reinvent themselves . Whilst they try to get back on track things begin to hot up between Halo ,who is heterosexual and Viper ,who is definitely gay , but neverthe less there is a slow build up of sexual tension between the pair until they can’t ignore it anymore. Can’t wait to see how this story is going to pan out thank goodness there’s not a long wait for book 2 😉.

Halo is burning down the pages, slowly but steady!
It’s a freaking hot foreplay from beginning til end. If you need a dictionary for delayed gratification, take this book!Viper and Halo couldn’t be more different, not only from their appearance, but also their preferences. What they do have in common is the passion for music and to make a living from it. Viper has been burned and hurt badly with Trent leaving the band to everyone’s surprise. Since they have been friends forever and started the band from zero to hero, his leaving seems like a betrayal bigger than anything. So trusting and finding a substitute doesn’t come easy.Halo - a name fitting for that man. An angel face and appearance he proves the looks can be deceiving. He has a killer voice and is talented from head til toe, playing various instruments and writing songs. Exactly what the band needs - or so it seems. Will fans accept the new frontman? To see the band’s rise and fall and starting from scratch, is an added bonus to the story. The book mainly focuses on Viper’s and Halo’s story, their growing attraction, their chemistry and their journey to finding hot sizzling action. I loved the heat and the chemistry. It made me turn the pages faster than I could read, because I wanted to know where they will end, despite the bedroom. Seeing Halo coming to terms with the attraction for a man and Viper giving in to the temptation and allowing a little more again, it was awesome and yet it isn’t over. And I’m so glad it isn’t! I need more! So much more!I’m praising the writing of Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine time and time again and I won’t get tired doing so time and time again.

Nothing new, but still a good read
I don't know how I stumbled across this book. I have certainly read more than one book just like it... but that didn't stop me enjoying every single minute of it. Once I started, I couldn't put it down and finished it in a single setting. It did end on somewhat of a cliff hanger in that whilst there were virtually no surprises in this book, I have no idea what is going to happen next. It reached a definite climatic end (ha, pun), but there are a bunch of left over loose ends and you can definitely tell this is part of a series... one I definitely will be reading more of.It doesn't need to original to be very well written and a good read.
