The Meaning of McDonald Creek and other Poems: Celebrating Glacier National Park Paperback – July 15, 2019

This poetry is beautiful, moving, and vivid. The poems are especially meaningful because I’ve been to the places in Glacier Park that served as the inspiration for the poems. However, having first hand experience in Glacier isn’t necessary in order to enjoy his poetry - you can see and feel it through his writings. What a fitting tribute to the beauty of the natural world as seen through keen, reverent, and appreciative eyes. Thank you Bob for sharing your wonderful and insightful poetry.

One of my favorite new pastimes is to read Bob Muth's poetry aloud to my father. He has gone on many hikes with the author, as a founding member of the Over The Hill Gang, but with his low vision, it's a struggle for him to read. What we've discovered is that extraordinary poetry like this is meant to be savored with the same delight we take in hiking the trails of Glacier. What a wonderful gift, this book, "The Meaning of McDonald Creek and Other Poems."

I am serially purchasing this book to share with the people I have introduced to Glacier National Park. I have walked in Bob's footsteps on many hikes and can hear and see what his poetry evokes. This is sacred ground, as is all of the wild land that he cherishes. I see this book as a gift and a plea. I cannot help being forever moved by his words.

Wonderfully descriptive prose describing the wonder and heartbreak of both the natural world and the strife of the human soul. Lovers of Glacier National Park will re-experience its beauty. Anyone struggling with the lack of compassion found in today's current political and social systems will empathize with that echo here.
