I have two boxers who love water, play with the hose, play in the ocean etc. However they did not like water shooting straight up in their face at such a powerful stream. I tried turning the hose flow way down, also tried adjusting the brass screw to slow down the water flow which did not work. Also I noticed the brass part where the water shoots out from had a defect, looked like a chip on the side which I was a little annoyed at this but it did not seem to have any affect on the function of the fountain. I had waited a long time to get a dog fountain hoping they had improved on the product after reading some of the reviews, all I can say is I was disappointed and my two water loving goof balls did not approve either.

The hose blew a hole in it when the water was barely on. I couldn't seem to find a way to turn down the height of the spray, either. It was a huge fountain no matter what. Either way this is completely useless with a pressure hole (and I mean a gash not some small leak). Big waste of $60.

The water blasts out in a wide spray, no matter what you do. Nothing like the picture on the front, or in the video. My dog LOVES playing in the water, but this sprinkler doesn't appeal to her at all. She steps on it and it gets her in the face with a powerful fire hose blast. She only did it a couple of times and then would never get close to it again. Within a couple of hours she had chewed right through the hose. I think she thought she was killing the evil thing!

Disappointed. Does not work at all like photos or clips suggest. When my dog tried to use it, it shot a blast of water straight into her fade with such gourde she yelped... and she's a Great Dane/Boxer mix. Though we tried everything possible, the stray could not be adjusted and changing the water pressure at the faucet doesn't help either. Now she won't go near it... I have a $60 dog toy that will likely land in the Goodwill pile. Don't recommend this one... sadly.

My dogs absolutely LOVE this fountain! It's great entertainment that's for sure. I haven't found how to turn the pressure down, so it sprays really high into the air. On a hot summer day they'd play non stop for hours if I'd let them....gotta watch that water bill tho! It does leak slightly from where the hose attaches to the fountain, but it wasn't enough to lose any kind of pressure

I was skeptical. My dog always played with the hose with a sprayer nozzle on it but had an unfortunate tendency to chew the nozzles. After years of searching for the right nozzle we finally tried this instead. It's sturdy, has good spray action and our dog loves it. Most importantly he can't chew it up. My only knock is that he can flip it over and then we have to fix it for him. Really good product overall.

This item worked terrific - very well made. I think it would last a very long time. Seems like it would last a long time.Unfortunately my dog had no interest in the water fountain. He will not step on it, and will not drink when I step on it.

I bought this for my boxer because he loves the lawn sprinkler. But I think he'd like it more than he does if that initial squirt didn't have so much pressure behind it (even with the hose pressure just barely on). At the moment, I am using a clamp to keep it down and the water flowing slowly in hopes that he'll simply be happy with that. Then we'll take it to the next step. Maybe we need to have a water dog over to show him that it's not so scary. :) With that said, this product is well-made and is a great idea.
