They work
I'm an eyeglass wearer but wanted to see if I could improve my outdoor binoculars viewing by this purchase. They work quite well in blocking extra light otherwise normally entering between you and the eyecups... just needed to get use the new feeling of the wings. Eyeglass viewing is still possible by folding down the flaps. Well made, easy on, and good fitment. Makes it a bit snug now when storing the binoculars back in their case.

Size Received Does Not Match Description
As another experienced, the product received was Item No.B002.The ID of eyecups are 1.15-inches maximum before stretching them. They will not stretch to the stated 1.46-inches stated multiple times on the product page. The description repeatedly states: "Compact Size fits 1.10 to 1.46 dia eyecup" If an attempt was made to stretch them to the limit they would likely fail immediately or perhaps in a few days as others have noted. The eye cups received are clearly not the ones described. Warehouse mixup? Unknown, but they will be returned. The quality appears good, but they simply will not fit the stated size range.

They work
They fit my Monarch 8x42's very snugly. They work for me, but not for my spouse, who wears glasses. If you wear glasses, they may not fit between the shields.

Broke in less than 30 days
These are far too tight for the eyecups on my Nikon Monarch 7's. I don't think they are even that large, but these were quite a stretch to fit on them and broke in the first month. I liked having the stray light blocked, but I'm not going to buy these again. They were a pain to setup and didn't last.

Great value!
This one, and the "regular" size for somewhat larger eye pieces, are excellent products, eliminating disturbing light interference from the sides. The fit snugly, but not so tight as not to allow adjustments. I recommend them highly for all binoculars with hard eye cups, but measure carefully (regular? compact?). One minor drawback: single focus binocs may need re-fitting when focus is adjusted; I never had any problem with this. Highly recommended and definitely worth the price. I also note the almost luxurious packing: plastic fittings in a sturdily handy metal box.

the split open
had a tight fit, put them on and went to use them one week later both were split and un useable. Waste of money

Fine product but Amazon sent wrong size
This is a very good American- made eye shield. Packaging is great and uses very little plastic. BUT Amazon sent the wrong size. The online description of the Field Optics Standard Size eyeshield does not show an Item Number but it does show the actual measurements, so I ordered it. What they actually sent was the Compact Size, Field Optics Item B002. I'm returning it and re-ordering the Standard B001 I hope they get it right this time because I like product.

shield light well, do not rotate.
does good job of shielding the incident light from the sides. Does not rotate however ( rubber holds tightly to ocular ) which interfers with my ability to adjust right eye-piece to get image in focus for both eyes. I have no simple design recommendation. The binocular company wanted 28$ for each eye shield. Maybe these would have worked, being conical and round, but seemed expensive, and were unlikely to block lateral light as well as these.

Ok product if its what you need.
Good fit on benoculars a little tight but works.
