I was trying to hook up an old PC to a TV to test and see if it showed any display, pretty much trying to refurbish it, but as soon as i plugged it into the VGA port, the little prongs inside broke. turns out the prongs were bent and misaligned before plugging it in and it snapped when plugged it in.It's been three years now and the reason I didn't feel like returning the product is becasue I'm lazy ASF. it didn't cost that much and I didn't have much of a care at the time to return it so here's my review now.You get what you pay for. A cheap product that, not surprisingly, broke on first use. The little box was also really cheap and flimsy.

I use an older Dell Optiplex as a Plex server that I occasionally need to connect to a monitor if something is acting up and I'm unable to access it via remoting in. It only has a VGA output and although I have an old backup monitor with VGA/DVI inputs I got tired of dragging it out every time I needed to use it, so I figured I'd try out an adapter to just hook up to my main monitor. This thing worked perfect. I just used one of the empty USB ports to power it and that worked fine. I can't speak on the aux cable though as I have no use for it.Would recommend of you need to hook up an older computer to a newer screen

I purchased this in Feb 2020. I have a Dell 5480 that I use for remote connectivity. I have two Dell 2410 monitors which I needed to connect to. The laptop has 1 HDMI, and I needed a converter for the VGA port to HDMI. This one was cheap and the reviews seemed acceptable. I ordered it and used it for 6 months before it died. I noticed the box was HOT when it started acting up with a flickering screen that would go black every few seconds before the screen would come back the lots of little red dots everywhere. I had not touched it before since it was just working on the desk. I emailed the company to ask about warranty service. No replies in a week! Luckily I found that this laptop also has a USB-C output which I was able to get a converter to HDMI for. It doesn't need power and works great. If you lookup the specs on your laptop and find that you have USB-C or Mini HDMI ports, use them insead. VGA always requires power and sound connections to recreate HDMI. Other ports typically do not need either power or sound. Was hoping to get a replacement as a backup, but its going in the trash!

I bought the item several months ago and have been using it for several occasions. It does what it supposes to do - converting VGA to HDMI when using Windows OS. The picture quality is good when playing blue-ray DVD, and the picture quality is just ok when streaming movie online. A few days ago I tried it on ubuntu laptop and I couldn't get it to work. Someone suggested to use the external source for usb connection. I tried it and it still didn't work. It seems that it's only support Windows which is a huge drawback for me because I plan to replace all my windows OS with ubuntu. If it had supported non-windows OS, I would give it higher rating and recommend it .

My laptop only has HDMI output, so I bought this adapter to run an old VGA projector .This adapter was obviously used for the HDMI port to VGA port.The flexible cable between the two ends allows me to put the laptop and projector together. I didn't want a mile plastic lever sticking out the back of my laptop, so I got this. It does exactly work what it's supposed to do.

Easy to set up, and has enabled me to connect a vga monitor to my new laptop!!!

Love this product. It was easy to connect my tv to my pc. Works great for dual monitors. Working from home due COVID 19, so this was a life saver. Picture is great.
