Bought for a different reason
Bought this to use as a way to keep our bonsai collection alive through a brutal cold spell. With a greenhouse lamp and heater, they all survived and are doing well.

Easy to Use and Warm
The house is easy to pop up, it’s a little hard to put it back in the bag but with two people and a system it’s fine. Stays warm really well, holds the heat. Make sure you use the tie down straps in the wind, could possibly be difficult to set up and take down on a windy day. Fits 2 adults and two preschool aged kiddos for a day of fishing.

Excellent portable pop up shelter!!!
Purchased this for ice fishing with my son and daughter-in-law. We had a blast. The shelter went up in seconds, which was amazing for our first use. Day one of use was on a quiet day with little wind, so we didn't even need the shelter stakes, we just used snow to hold down the base. By late afternoon the wind did come up and the shelter held firm and we stayed warm inside. The collapsing of the shelter and re-bagging were relatively easy, if you have a problem, refer to the directions included in the shelter bag. As the weeks passed and we continued our mission to ice fish and enjoy the winter here "up north" The shelter was set up and taken down approximately 4 or 5 times in February with no problems. We did end up having to use the stakes a couple of times due to high winds. We had one small Mr. Heater to heat the interior with it would get almost hot if not kept on lowest heat. At one time we had 5 people inside. Personally I think it is better with 3 to 4, for comfort and fishing. Love that this shelter was insulated. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to go ice fishing and who does not have a permanent ice shack. Great experience.

Initial set up w/ update
First time use, easy set up when the wind isn't blowing. Now the wind has come up and I put up the two tie-down straps but the shelter still colaped. I now recommend using tie-down on all sides. The shelter is collapsing around me as I write this review. I purchased the insulated 3-4 person shelter and I have plenty of room. My heater has not arrived yet but the insulation seems to keep it comfortable inside dispute the wind. I think it is to soon to rate this product, i will start with a 3, but I will say I'm happy with the overall quality, ease of set up. Now that I have used my shelter 3 times and the last time at minus 10 degrees F. I will say inside I was warm, and with my new heater it was great. This would be a 5 star but I had to order two more anchors and straps for the remaining two corners. This should come with enough to anchor all four sides.

My husband loves his new pop-up fish house!
This was a surprise Christmas present for my Hubby. Kind of knew what I wanted—I overheard my husband one time say Eskimo made good shelters and that you should always spend the extra money on “insulated” shelters so I had some what of an idea what to get...Went to my local Fleet Farm to look at some ice shelters in person and knew I wanted to get him a stand up shelter (one he could comfortable stand in NOT those goofy “sit shelters”). After much research and watching loads of videos I decided on this house.Goes up SUPER easy!! My husband’s old ice shelter went together like an old school camping tent, the bars needed to be put together...totally production. This one pops right up and goes down just as easily.Comfortably fits my husband and all 3 of our kids. He’s fine fishing with buddies and their kids and there is plenty of room! I’d say room for 2-3 adults (average size) easily. The insulated fabric keeps the shelter super warm. Keeps wind out!! If you have a heater going inside you could literally fish all day and not be cold. Great to have up when you’re moving fishing holes for a place to warm up and switch baits!Easily moves when it’s time to move the shelter!Would recommend this house as would my husband. The box itself is SUPER heavy. Having this item delivered to your doorstep is a total bonus of purchasing from Amazon!

Insulated, Spacious Shelter That's Easy to Set Up and Take Down (Even By Myself)
I had an older model Eskimo shelter and because I had an ice fishing trip coming up with a larger group than usual, wanted a second shelter to accommodate the numbers. The Fatfish 949i was just the ticket, as it's taller than my older model, but has the same quilted warmth as my old shelter. I've been in shelters with floors, but they're either tight, or because they're not collapsible like the Eskimo, they're very bulky and hard to transport. A single propane heater kept us warm even though outside it was windy and in the upper teens. The best part is the shelter is really easy - and quick - to set up. I used it recently on a trip with just three people, and even though the other two had to leave before I did, I was able to take down the shelter by myself, in just five minutes! The price point is great, too; less than I would have paid for similar shelters of other brands. In summary, a great choice for an ice-fishing shelter when you need room for three or four people, although we seem to find it works best with three.

Love It
This tent has been awesome and survived a couple blizzards in Northern Wisconsin. Easy set up unless its windy then I need a second person because the sides fold in on themselves. Once set up it has anchors that screw into the ice to stop the sides from folding in. When properly secured this things can survive very high winds. Keeps everybody warm without a heater. With a heater you can sit with a T shirt comfortably. HAs lots of windows for lots of light. HAs 2 doors which make sit great when fishing with 3 people. Vents on top keep the condensation down and plenty of pockets for storage. Only down side is its kind of big and heavy but has straps and can carry it on my back like a backpack.
