Problems in Calculus of One Variable

Exactly what I need. An advanced course in Calculus. This book has everything.

Concise, accurate and challenging. I learned calculus in HS from this book and have yet to find a better introductory book 30 years later. A true classic.

1. The Soviet style involved tackling tough problems.2. This book is a step by step guide.3. It is not for absolute beginners to Calculus, but even beginners and undergrads can use to great advantage.4. It is dirt cheap. So expect the binding will not be great.5. Emphasis is on solving problems and not proofs. But you will get insight into proofs as you solve the problems.6. It is a classic, as many Mir Moscow books are. I am grateful it is around and so shockingly cheap.7. Most qs. have answers and many have hints. Do it all.Good luck.Roy

El libro de problemas resueltos de Maron, aunque de nivel bachillerato, trata los problemas del cálculo a fondo. No son problemas triviales, pero sí son muy didácticos y se aprende cálculo seriamente. El precio inmejorable.

My fiancee from China was staying with me. She wanted something like this, as she often has to write exam problems in English at her University. I received it the day after ordering but the quality was poor. Some of the print on pages was hardly legible

Good book, covers several cases with good examples;If you are preparing for jee then you can use this in addition to your coaching's material but it does not cover everythingbut it gives important feel of calculus which is essential and it is properly ordered text and examples mean that you fully understand why we started to study the topic in the first place and the practicality of the theory.
