We have used Nutro wet puppy food for several months. My puppy gets so excited as soon as he sees his breakfast. It’s become part of a fun morning routine. However, after this order I will be finding a new wet dog food — each container of the case recently received has maggots. It’s absolutely disgusting and quite worrisome.

My last order of this food had a broken container so I lost one of them but the rest were ok. This order however was a disgusting mess! The box came apart when I picked it up, inside I found something had spilled in the bottom but none of the containers were ope. One had a puffy lid and another was squashed. But by far the worst part was all the dead bugs covering multiple containers! I won’t buy dog food here again.

Bought this for our 6-month old havanese, thinking that we were giving him a quality meal, but boy were we wrong. The first day after feeding him Nutro he started throwing up. The next day (and to give this another try) we fed it to him again and his stools were watery and his tummy grumbled all through the day. I honestly can't believe a product like this is sold on amazon. Low quality and dangerous for our pups. Feeding them nutritious high-quality is essential for a puppies correct development and health and this is a far cry from that. Learn from my mistakes and DO NOT BUY THIS.

Update: All the chicken containers are also fully of these black spots. So over half of this food was inedible. I have tried to contact the company specifically with no answer. $45 wasted. I have canceled my subscription and will be looking for new food for my dog.I have been buying this food for my dog for over a year now and we’ve never had any issues. I just got this new package this last week and we started to feed it to her. I opened up the first turkey one and noticed there were black spots all over the meat. There’s never been black spots. I took some out and it definitely looked like mold. I figured maybe it was just a bad one so I opened up another turkey one and it had the same black spots. I might have to be shopping around for a new food if this continues!

I bought this for my adult Shihtzu. She’s not into dry food anymore. I wanted to find a product that would entice her tastebuds! I have a very picky eater! Lol. My Shihtzu loves the variety it brings. The portions are just right.

I have two picky chihuahuas that regularly go on hunger strikes. This food broke their resistance, at least for now. I like the convenience of this food. The packaging is easy to open and it is less messy than canned food. The portions seem to be just about right for my 7lb and 9lb chihuahuas. I saw another review that said that their 9lb dog was losing weight because they were not getting enough calories. I have not experienced this with my larger dog, but maybe she isn't as active as other dogs.One of my dogs doesn't have teeth and he has no trouble eating this food. He seems to prefer the tiny cutlets over the typical dog food "mush" because he likes to chew the food a little bit. He doesn't eat the peas (shown in the picture), but my other dog likes the peas so everything works out.I'm sure that they will get tired of this food eventually, but right now, it is a real winner. The Amazon price is equal to or better than anything else I've found online.

My dogs like this food. One loves it and does his happy dance every morning the other thinks it’s “good enough” eating it before going back to bed. I haven’t received anything with mold but I have to assume those are from punctured trays, the foil on top isn’t especially strong which leads to the tab ripping off making it hard to get into the tray, usually making a mess when you try to continue opening it. My biggest gripes is the trays aren’t recyclable, they are marked 5 which almost no locations in the world recycle but, 5 is polypropylene which is BPA free so I’ll tolerate it. I wish they were easier to get into, this would probably fix a lot of the bad reviews too otherwise they’re pretty great.Also anyone saying “this food made my dog/puppy’s stomach bad” or other GI issues, you MUST slowly introduce any new food mixing small portions into their old food over time, not doing this and having your dog experience tummy upset is almost always the owners fault or an undiscovered food allergy - essentially any reviews complaining about this or mold can be ignored.

I'm a Nutro Ultra buyer, and have a Lab (who eats pretty much everything), and a picky Shepherd who will eat Ultra. I bought this thinking that the variety might be a good idea since Nutro Ultra was a hit. I opened the box, which had a comment in large letters on the inside top "Guaranteed Happy Dance". Well, my lab (who typically tears into her food) actually sniffed at it and hesitated. It took my encouragement and her hunger to agree to finally eat it. The shepherd just sniffed it and walked away. What a waste! I wonder how they will react to the rest of the flavors. I'll not be purchasing this again. Nutro Ultra will be my "go to", although I'm going to try some other quality wet food as well.
