IN AN EMERGENCY! Five years ago I had several surgeries but Medicare doesn't cover the in-home caregivers I really needed to keep me safe. Then the idea just POPPED into my head one night, "I wonder what the longest range a doorbell had?" I found one with 1,000 for range: THIS ONE, and I walked 800 feet to a young neighbor/friends house with the two receiver/one doorbell package.I asked this young mother of four "If I leave these two receivers with you and you plug one in your bedroom and the other in the main area of the house, and then I took the doorbell button home with me, in the event of a post-surgery need while I'm still in bed for two weeks, if I pushed this button would you immediately come to help me? I'll pay you for your time, extra of it's late or overnight!"She absolutely agreed. When I came home from the hospital and I knew she had the receiver you see in the picture, I felt safe.Who would ever have thought $30 could give you so much peace of mind!Recently in my new residence a gal 2 doors away and I agreed we'd each but one of these and just as an extra safety net we'd have each other's back in case we need help.We're both 72 and we're fall risks, so this little product is now our MEDICAL DOORBELL!

This got me out of a bind. Thought my doorbell was wired so i ripped it off, then realized it wasn’t. Ordered this for a temporary doorbell and it works great. It is a little too quiet though.

I can't rate the waterproof level because my door button is in a vestibule. But I love this thing so much!! It is a great price. It does EXACTLY what it claims to do. It is loud as all get out or as quiet so as not to disturb too much. But the BEST thing about this device is, the FIRST time I got it, only one of the bells worked. I wrote and asked for an exchange and before I could get the package back in the mail to them, they had already sent me a replacement. The NEXT day. That means a lot. I would absolutely recommend this doorbell system and the people who sell it.

I found it difficult to connect, had an adult male manage to connect with the ringtone or something about where it was situated and can't be moved - don't understand it all. Also it has to be plugged into an outlet , and I understand has to stay there or be reconnected, which means I can't move it to the room where I am. With the other battery one I had I could bring it into whatever room so I could be sure to hear it. So for us older people this might not be the one to purchase.

worth purchasing as a transient or mobile doorbell (if you're not ready to commit to drilling holes, or if you're just renting a flat). comes with fun (but sharp in the ears) melodies and volume can be adjusted. my only gripe is that the button needs to be pressed with commitment to bring the sounds about!
