The largest reason I purchased these knives is that we used them for the Cub Scouts. Our Bear Den is when the boys learn about knife safety and how to properly use a knife.We chose these as they were inexpensive, had a bear on the handle and looked like a nice presentation knife.Well, that's about the best they're good for unless you spend some time and really hone the blade.We ordered 15 of these and only received 14, plus a 'pen knife' key fob. They didn't even all come in the same order. received them on different days and was worried that we weren't going to receive them Wasn't contacted by the seller to explain anything and found the knives to be pretty much a presentation knife. The blades were dull enough to cause a problem when trying to teach 9 year olds how to handle blades. The blade release on the back of the blade is tough to press to release, even for an adult. Either we received a batch of bad knives or these are just presentation knives and nothing else.
