Comfortable, quality speed straps
I purchased these after borrowing a similar pair from a friend for deadlifts. The speed with which you can get on and off the bar make these preferable for heavy cleans, snatches, deadlifts, or in workouts like Crossfit. I prefer to not use straps unless failing grip strength forces me to, so I've only used them a handful of times since I purchased them. The only drawback I've found using these versus the pair I borrowed from a friend is that the fabric on these is a little softer and less stiff. The stiffness of the others I used made it quicker to hook and wrap around the bar. It is getting easier to wrap each time I use these, though, so I don't consider it a negative to the product so much as a reflection of my lack of coordination. The fabric itself is thick and I have no concerns about its durability. The stitching where the loop meets (the bottom of the V) is clean and well done and I have no concerns about it holding up for years. I am a female with small wrists and medium/large hands for my size and these work fine for me. Their size actually puts less strain on the top of my hand/thumb area than the others that I had borrowed, although they feel a little more unruly. The other straps could be uncomfortable, especially on heavy deadlifts, but I have not experienced discomfort with the IronMind straps.

Very good straps but a bit wide
I use these for weightlifting. The material and stitching looks like they're quality and should last a very long time. The straps feel a little stiff at first but they break in nicely with use. The length is perfect and I have missed snatches from behind with these and they release without any problem.I don't like how the width of the straps are a bit wide. When you wrap them around the bar, the bar pretty much disappear under the straps and you can't really have a good feel for the barbell anymore. So whether if you're lifting with an eleiko bar or a craigslist bar, all you're gonna feel is the strap on your hands. The good thing though is the wide width of the strap won't dig into your hands when you're deadlifting or doing heavy pulls and extensions. I am a 77kg lifter. Maybe if you have bigger hands than me you won't have this problem.

These are the best straps I've ever used
These are the best straps I've ever used, and that includes several pair that I made myself. The reason a person buys these as opposed to traditional straps is that they release fast. If you are doing a snatch or a jerk, get in trouble and need to bail out, you want the straps to open immediately when you drop the bar. The danger is obvious. If you let the weight go backwards and one or both straps fail to release, the falling bar could rip your shoulder/s out of joint and jeopardize your lower back or even your knees. So I bought both this Olympic set and the IronMind traditional, longer straps, thinking I'd use the latter for deadlifts, rows, etc. I used the two pair separately for about a year, then just started using these for everything. Soon it became apparent that I don't need the other pair at all. These provide enough grip for power lifts as well as the grip and release that you need for the Olys. The material and sewing on all the IronMind products are excellent. After about three years of very intense use, including hang snatches and cleans, things where I force the straps to absorb a lot of downward stress, a bit of stitching came loose today. I'm sure they still have another 6-12 months in them, but at this price I'm just going to buy another pair.I have no desire to purchase another brand or another style. These are a great product.

Way too long.
Too long; the convenience of the closed loop is in the speed and ease of 1 handed wrapping. These are so long this benefit is completely lost. The texture of the webbing is also way too smooth compared to other brands such as Attitude Nation. The sewing is suitably flat.

Strong and useful. A little harder than other straps to get just right
I bought these after having broken at least 2 pair of MDUSA's cotton straps from Snatch pulls. The IronMind nylon straps seem to be keeping up well with no sings of tearing. The only problem I have is that the straps are harder to tighten and get just right than other straps. This is most likely due to the short length.and nylon on nylon being a little more slippery than cotton on cotton.

Tough material, easy on/off, and safest design for olympic weightlifting
These are great straps both for olympic weightlifting training (snatches, pulls) and general training (deadlifts, rows). They are a short sewn loop rather than the traditional choker design, which makes it easier (and safer) to bail out of a missed snatch. The sewn loop also allows a symmetrical cinch (just tuck the tail through the loop), which may take a little getting used to compared with regular straps, but once you have figured it out it is just as fast and easy. Finally, the sewn loop design will not choke up on your wrist the same way regular straps can, so it is easy to take on and off.The nylon material is a little slick but once it roughens up from the bar knurling and gets some chalk rubbed, they grip the bar really well. It is also a tough nylon that is more durable than cotton or poly straps. I have used other Iron Mind straps before for many years and they have held up strong pulling in the 600lb range regularly. I expect these to do the same.Other straps on the market often have a separate right/left designation which is helpfu; if you tuck the tail to one side (typically to the inside of your grip width). With the sewn loop design, I've found that right/left isn't really an issue if you tuck the tail through the loop.

second pair i've owned
can hardly complain that the first pair came apart given just how much i used them, so i didn't hesitate to buy a second. this style is WAY better than the longer-strap kind, believe me. and i'm pretty ornery when it comes to products not living up to high standards.so if that doesn't sell you, it should.

Durable and Easy
I've had these for 9 years and they are still going strong. They took some time to break in but after that, they are easy to use.
