Big fan of this. Will probably buy another one.
If my memory serves me correctly, this item (a credit card-sized clear case) arrived shortly after Christmas of 2013. As of this review, it is now August of 2014. The case served me well, but it has recently cracked. I'm still carrying it, as the crack isn't bad enough to make it fall apart... but I don't plan on it lasting much longer.I'm not complaining, though. I wore the thing constantly (it functionally replaced my wallet). And I only spent about 6 bucks on it. So if they break down after about 7 months, I'm okay with that. A month for each dollar I spent? Not a bad deal.To be fair, I'm not sure if it broke because of normal wear-and-tear or if I broke it by using it improperly. When my wife got a new health plan when she changed jobs, she gave me a few extra cards to carry in the gadget. Plus she requested that I start carrying my Sam's Club card because she needed to fill prescriptions there. Plus she would sometimes ask me to hold her ID or her credit cards in addition to the things I normally carry for myself. This loaded the case to the limits of its capacity, to the point where I had to stuff things in. I suspect the case would have lasted even longer if not for this one-month period when I was carrying more than I should have. I can't say for sure whether this is what caused the crack, but I suspect it might have. The crack is located on the part of the case where the latch hooks onto it. I think the stress of over-loading the case is what accounts for that crack. Also, I should admit that I can't testify to the waterproof nature of the case at all. Aside from maybe a rainy trip to Disney World, the case never really put through its paces as far as being exposed to water or wetness. I never dropped it in water by accident or fell/dove into water while wearing it. I live in New Mexico in a normally dry environment, so water was never my concern. (I get tons of dust and dirt, though, and that never made its way into the case, for what that's worth.) For all I know, the waterproof seal might have worn down months ago. I just don't know.

Great front pocket Wallet for Men!
Repeat Customer....I personally use this as my wallet for my DL and essential credit / bank cards I use for personal & business accounts. I carry a second one in my car to hold business cards to prevent damage and worn edges. Fits easily in a front jeans / pant pocket or side pockets on cargo shorts, the lanyard hook and water proof case are great for outdoor adventures. Clients and store clerks often comment on how cool it is as a wallet. Got the idea from my days working with Delta Airlines on the ramp. We had to carry our ID's and Sida Badges in these and the lanyard at all times. Very durable and great value!

It's only $7, everyone calm down.
*** Update to previous review ***I just ordered another one today. I looked at my purchase history on this item, my last order was 15 months ago. I had ordered the one before that almost 3 years prior. I've noticed some negative reviews complaining about quality and the hinges breaking. Yes, that happens after almost a year and half of use, but these only cost $7 and some change. People need to calm down and look at the value proposition here. If it was $45 I'd expect a 5 year warranty. It's $7, I feel like the usable lifespan is more than adequate. BTW, because I use an employee ID card to log into my work computer I am pretty sure I open and close this thing at least 20 times a day along with my regular purchasing of stuff using my credit card. That means I've opened and closed this thing about 9000 times in 15 months until the latch finally gave it up. Not bad for an inexpensive item.************I've been using these for years, I'm on my 3rd one. I used to get sand in my old wallets because I go to the beach with my dog a lot. These will hold about 6 or 7 credit cards or ID cards , I currently have 5 cards and it leaves a little room to fold up a small amount of cash (3 way fold). It keeps the sand out and I imagine that it might float but I have never tested that, lol! They last me about 2 to 3 years until one of the hinge ears breaks and then I get a new one. For what they cost I can't complain one bit.

Excellent Badge Holders - Careful With the Clip tho
I've used these badge holders for many years. They're great! They really are. However, treat the clip with kindness because if too much strain so happens to befall the clip, usually that mechanism or the plastic holding the clip in place is what breaks. I've used these cases for 5 years and it ALWAYS manages to break in that exact same area. So, a word to the wise, be gentle with the clip. Some have lasted me far longer than others, so honestly, it can vary.Other than that, it is perfect for traveling, work, theme parks, etc. It is waterproof (which is so A+) and can withstand quite the wear and tear (again, just be mindful with the clip). Any badges I've had for work that require you to usually put the card up against something to be read, can be done while keeping them in the case (yay for the ease!). This case can also hold quite a bit of cards, papers, etc. in it, so that's a bonus also.

Good ID badge holder
I am a Pilot and use this to carry a small number of ID cards. I originally started off with a specifically made ID card holder. That held two cards just fine and worked for years. But Now I have a number of cards to carry. Four to be exact. So the old card holder was not working anymore. Then while on a trip I saw someone using one of these. So I ordered this one from Amazon with the intention of trying it out. It works great and even addressed a problem my old ID card holder had. That was allowing food crumbs to drop into the top of the holder. Since this one has a lid that closes secure, food bits are no longer an issue. My local airport requires me to remove my ID badge from any holder when presenting it at security and this holder makes that task easy. It holds all four cards I need securely and could maybe get five or six total in if needed. It feels a tad bit heavy compared to my old ID holder, but I guess that is to be expected. My only complaint is the included neck cord was too short for my 6” 3” frame. So I made a new, longer one to use. Not much else to say
