DEWALT DW4514 1/4" Thick Grinding Wheel with 4-1/2" Diameter and 7/8" Arbor

This DEWALT grinding wheel works very well and feels strong and durable. It removes material efficiently and holds up well during use. It fits properly, runs smoothly, and is a reliable choice for grinding and metalwork. Good quality as expected from DEWALT.

I should note my preferences by starting with the fact that I acquired this grinding wheel for $1.76. At that cost, the quality impressed me greatly. I used it to smooth the metal on the base of an old sprinkler, and it handled the task swiftly. Delivery was quick as well.

You get what you pay for. Works, but as others have said its not metal plated on both sides of the arbor area. It grinds well though.

I buy Dewalt grinding discs instead of third party because in the past the "noname" brands did not hold up to more than one grinding session. Dewalt discs tend to last many grinding sessions which allow me to keep the disc on the grinder and pick up and go on multiple projects vs. constantly installing a new disc. This may not be a big consideration, but I also appreciate keeping the grinding dust/mess to a minimum, and I know that a longer lasting disc stays "together" and puts less dust and debris in the air. For flap discs and paint stripping discs, I feel more comfortable going with "noname" brands.

Great value for the cost.

I use this grinding wheel with a Ryobi ONE+ angle grinder. It fit and work well with Ryobi, it should also fit most 4 1/2 inch devices. I’ve used it several times and each time was happy with the results.
