Pet Science Advanced Liver Support for Dogs and Cats, Promotes Normal Liver Function (90 Capsules)

It's a very good liver supplement!!!

I have a pack of 5 dogs with 2 being senior dogs. One of then is allergy ridden therefore as with any senior dog I started to look for liver support supplements and I came across Pet Science Advanced Liver Support.I've ordered few of their products and they were really good so I thought I will give this one a go as well.Both of my dogs eat these happily and without spitting out. As you open the bottle you can smell bacon flavour oozing out of it which is definitely the factor for my dogs to eat the tablets. The good thing is that if your dog doesn't want to eat the tablets you can easily open the capsule and pop it into their food.I've been giving these to my dogs for the last 2 weeks along with their other supplements and so far so good. I think Bronson who is allergy ridden is experiencing some sort of a change. He doesn't smell of yeast as much but I guess it is too soon to boast about any miracle effects.The main thing for me is that my dogs are happy to consume these ingredients which are of high quality and I know in the long run this will help them.

This is a great supplement to give dogs who may be having problems with their liver i.e. fatty liver disease. It also supports the liver against toxins and stimulates cell regeneration.The main ingredient in ethos supplement is *milk thistle* which has been used for decades to help dogs recover from liver disease. It does this by breaking down toxins in the liver and promoting good liver health. Also included are ... compete complex of B vitamins, DL methionine, pure salmon powder and alpha lipoic acid.IThe supplement comes in capsule form which can be either given whole or sprinkled onto your pets dinner. We have a Jack Chi and she hates taking medication with a passion and the only way we could get her to take this supplement was by opening the capsule and sprinkling it onto her evening meal. She took the supplement like this with no problems at all.Our pooch had been taking this supplement for a little over a month with no adverse side effects. It is recommended a dog our size takes two capsules daily (one in the morning and one in the evening), however as our dog hasn't got liver problems as far as we know, we are using this supplement as a preventative to keep her liver in good health rather than a treatment.Price wise at £26.99 for 90 capsules (price correct at the time of this review) it works out quite reasonable for a dog our size ... 3 months supply at the rate of one capsule a day. Obviously more expensive the bigger the dog.Recommended

I have wasted cat food using this, my cats simply don't like it. I'm not able to speak to the benefits as a result. As long as your cat isn't too fussy (or your dog) I could see this being of real benefit, but sadly not for my cats.

What I really like is the composition of this product. It has everything, which is needed for a healthy livers + some extra vitamins, which are always welcomed.The main substanse in any liver recovery suplements is the silymarin, which is an extract from the Milk Thistle. This is the substance, you should looking for, when you need to do a meaningful treatment for your dog's livers. And this product has 120 mg per tablet, which is really great.The tablet are also flavoured, so you don't need to think up new strategies, how to serve it to your dog in order for him to truly eat it.I would only recomment to use smaller doses than it's written. I used for my 42kg GSD only one pill (100 mg of silymarin) in the morning and one in the evening and it was more then enough to see an improvement in his blood test after just two weeks. 5 pills is insanely too much. I wouldn't give more then 3 per day, because your dog won't take anything from a bigger ammount, so in the end you just waste your money.(In human medicine is recommended ammount 2 pills per day with ~100 mg of silymarin)I hope you've found my review helpful, if so click below. A few months back, our labrador was put on medication which, when taken in the long-term, can have an impact on the liver. So, when I saw these supplements on Amazon, I knew I had to give them a go.Now, although I can't tell you what effect these supplements are having on our labrador's liver, I can tell you that she's very happy to take them, she clearly likes the flavour and she seems bright and happy in general.Will update when we've been to the vets but, so far so good.
