Very strong magnet & solves the problem of where to keep knives OfF the countertop.
This is a very strong magnet . It works super well. Will hold knives, kitchen shears, anyrhing metal. Looks attractive, too. Won’t ever need replacing. Everything is secured well.

Fabulous!
After looking at many knife wall magnets I chose this one because it looked strong enough to hold my heavier knifes. It was up to the task and could probably hold more if needed. It is stylish and fits nicely with my kitchen decor. Yes you can find cheaper knife magnets but they won't hold heavier knives. If you have high quality knives, spend the money on the holder.

This product is great. It's very strong and holds my global knives very well. It's also very easy to install. Took me 5 minutes or less.

Love It, but expensive!
I bought this knife holder to hold my Global knives. It was easy to mount, looks great, and has a very strong magnet. I am sure there are cheaper alternatives if you don't need/want to coordinate with the knives.

Very powerful magnet
It comes with screws and plastic anchors but as you can see in the photo I have a glass-tile backsplash. Since I didn't want to pierce any tiles I used heavy-duty double-sided tape to attach it (three layers, because the back plate is not flush with the rim). It's very solid but I push against the wall magnet as I pull the knives because the magnet is very strong and with repeated use it could get loose. I would take the same precaution if it were screwed on.P.S. To give you a sense of the dimensions, the glass tiles are 16x2" and the knife magnet fits almost exactly on one of them, with about 1/8" jutting out left and right. And as you can see, there's room for 2 or 3 more knives.

Photo is wrong
Good quality product but the one I received does not look like the photos. Instead of plain black end caps, mine has a big GLOBAL spelled out in red letters. I would not choose to have the Global wordmark painted in red on my kitchen wall and I certainly didn't expect it based on the photos showing the product.

Too little for too much
I've looked at a lot of knife blocks and magnetic strips over the last six months, including this one, which I played with at a local kitchen store. It's attractive as such things go, and it holds on to a chef's knife with a solid grip. I stuck a narrow bread knife on it and, as expected, it didn't hold on quite so tightly (less metal against the strip), sliding slightly. That's no big deal, since magnetic strip holders do much better with wider blades. It performs as well as or better than the other magnetic strips I've tried. But for that I want to pay an extra $60-$80? Absolutely not.For half the price I'd add a star. It is much prettier than the magnetic strip I've got in my kitchen now, even if it isn't more functional. I'm sure it looks striking with Global knives (all those dots). But there are other nice-looking strips that cost a whole lot less.I use my magnetic strip for spatulas and scissors. This one would work very well for those, but it seems a shame to spend so much for a stylish spatula holder. For my knives (Hattori - very sharp, very beautiful, and expensive) I ended up buying a Magna Pro knife block (Messermeister sells them). It's a free-standing quarter-circle wedge of wood with magnets inside. It holds ten knives, and when I have to slide one against it, it slides against wood, not metal. If I'm careless or distracted as I put away a knife, it smacks into wood, not metal. It doesn't hold knives quite as tightly as the Global magnetic strip, but it still holds them firmly, it cleans easily, and it has the hygienic open-air storage advantages of a magnetic strip. It looks much nicer and can be had for just $25 more than the Global strip (I found it online for $129 - full retail is more like $180, and still a better buy than the Global strip, in my opinion). It holds two more knives and you can move it around to be handy to your workspace. The Global magnetic strip knife holder is an attractive and solid product. I just don't think that it's good enough for that $104 price, and those dimples don't add $60 worth of pretty. But pretty is in the eye of the beholder. If you really want your magnetic strip to coordinate with your Global knives and price is no object, then go for it. It will do the job very well indeed.

Quality
We love the magnetic strength this knife holder has.We tried a cheaper one and it didn’t hold the knives well. This one looks awesome matching my Global knife set. There is no worries the knives won’t hold.

It just won't stick

Why GLOBAL
I know people are going to say that £85 is extremely expensive for a Magnetic Knive Rack, however if you believe in continuity, and have invested in the Global Knives I thought it only prudent to go the whole hog. Although the delivery was relatively slow, there was no real rush for this item. Once it arrived its extremey simple to put up with screws and rawl plugs supplied.
