CAMVATE 1/4"-20 Mini Ball Head with Ceiling Mount for CCTV & Video Mount

This is a neat little cheap solution for mounting a camera that has a tripod mount. While what I mounted wasnt a camera, it was a vintage camera light that I wanted to display this worked great. Its super easy to setup and install and has nice adjustability. The compact size of it is also nice as it keeps it close to the ceiling and allows the light to draw the eye. Only complaint I do have is the size of the munring screws that are supplied. I personally used some large wood screws I had lying around so it wasn't a huge deal to me.

This thing is well made and I'm using it to support base stations for use with VR.

Worked great for my rear speaker set up in the ceiling. Easy to adjust and very durable and the stability was great, for these speakers are a bit heavy. They screwed right in and fit perfectly. Great price and I’d recommend again.

Not bad, but you may need some hardware. Alors, i bought these to install on the fairing of my bike to support a 360 camera. Using the supplied hardware, it never tightened up. It would easily flop left and right. Now, if you are using this for a fixed camera, it may be ok. If you are using it in a way where you remove the camera routinely and are running 80+MPH, it may become problematic. In the process of sorting down where the issue was, i tried epoxy, locktite, and tightening it reqlly hard. Nothing worked. What i did discover was the plastic washer between the base and the arm. All these parts are very smooth, and well machined. The plastic washer that comes from the factory doesnt bite onto anything. This, the post would swing left to right. I replaced the plastic washer with a lock washer, and it cinched right up tight. You can use a standard split ring lock washer (M6) or, as i prefer, a star washer. Just something that will bite in and hold. I have done this on both, and they work well now. Of note also, the thumbscrew is pointed, resulting in a lower contact patch with the post. I ground down the point to make a broader contact. It didnt fix my issue, but i like the idea more than a pointed one. And that is my 2 cents. Not a bad product, but you may need some hardware depending on your application. Also, the set/grub screw on the 2 screw-oval one should be bigger in my opinion. The four screw round base has a great set screw for the application. IF THE SUPPLIER/MANUFACTURER could effect these changes, 10/10 no notes.

Very versatile and solid mount for my tire monitor

Used this for a mount for a small solar panel. Impressive quality for the price, I'm sure some 12 year old in china is being paid .50 a day for making them but whatever. It was easy to mount and customize to my solar panel project and has really good aritulation & adjustability.

Haven’t used it yet however it is a solid object and should do a good job. Everything on it operates well.
