Mid-East Mini Kinnor Harp - Light

WOW. I am blown away by this product. It came pre-strung (a huge relief), with a tuner, a set of extra strings, and a soft carrying bag. The wood is lovely and it is a very aesthetically pleasing item. I have it propped up in the corner of my room as a decor piece because it's really very pretty. The sound it makes is excellent, very light and not very loud. As a historian, I think this is an instrument that produces a very ancient-sounding tone, one that is great on its own or accompanied by voice. For anyone curious, this is tuned on Biblical Scale, which means tuning is all based on inspiration. Where the bridge is highest, the strings should be tuned tighter, giving off a higher pitch, then lowering from left to right. It takes some experimentation, but is worth it. And the price? I'd pay double for this if I had to. If you want a small harp or an ancient instrument without spending a fortune, this is what you should buy.

Tuning is definitely a chore. This is due to the nylon strings and loose tuning pegs. It can be done, but not easily. Lovely sound when you get it right.

Why fabricate an instrument of a mythological figure and not one from the classical period that has taught the world so much?

Does sound very nice but like others have mentioned the thing will not stay in tune. To fix this problem your supposed to take the tool and push and force the pin down while moving back and forth. Done that and does not work i believe the people that have broken ones thats what they are doing to try to keep it in tune and they are breaking them. But not there fault in my opinion. It should stay in tune not go out every time you play a couple of notes also the strings that come with it need to be replaced but need to buy better ones then the junk they send with it. These strings actually flake almost like dyed paint. Other then the strings and not staying in tune at all its made well. Beautiful wood comes with a nice bag. And sounds nice for a couple of notes. If you are looking for one to actually play i recommend buying something else. If i find a solution to the problem ill let everyone know.

Very portable, quite beautiful, and sounds super nice! The 10 strings are a bit limiting, and they easily detune (I have to retune them every so often).
