Q: I broke the lid. Can I buy a replacement lid?

HOME-X has a website. I'd bet they could help you.

Q: is the lid air tight?

It does not have any sort of rubber or other grommet, so is not air tight, but fits close enough that my kosher salt has not been compromised in the three months or so the container has been on my counter. If it were air tight, I would be unhappy, as it would almost certainly need two hands to open.

Q: Does this glow under a blacklight like real depression glass?

No, this is not green mercury glass... that is the one that glows....but my understanding is that standard depression glass does not glow, and this doesn't, but a lovely little reproduction piece!
