Great value
Here’s a review for the **Thrush Muffler Deep Performance Tone Inlet 2.5" Pipe Connection Offset Outlet**: --- **Great Performance and Sound for an Affordable Price** I recently installed the **Thrush Muffler Deep Performance Tone** with a 2.5" inlet and offset outlet on my vehicle, and I’m extremely happy with the results. If you’re looking for a deep, aggressive tone without breaking the bank, this muffler is an excellent choice. The installation was smooth—this muffler fit perfectly with my exhaust system, and the 2.5" pipe connection was a direct match. While it’s a straightforward swap for most vehicles, I’d recommend a professional installation if you’re not comfortable with exhaust work. Once installed, I immediately noticed the difference in sound. The deep, throaty growl it produces is exactly what I was looking for. It’s loud enough to make a statement, but it doesn’t get obnoxious or drone on during highway driving. In terms of performance, the muffler seems to improve the exhaust flow, which in turn gives my vehicle a more responsive feel. Acceleration feels smoother, and it definitely has a bit more power under the hood. Although I didn’t see massive horsepower gains, the overall improvement in sound and driving experience has been well worth it. One of the best things about this muffler is the value—it offers excellent performance and sound for a very reasonable price. It’s durable and built to last, with high-quality materials that feel sturdy and reliable. If you’re on a budget but still want a muffler that enhances both sound and performance, the **Thrush Muffler Deep Performance Tone** is a great choice. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their exhaust system without going for the high-end, expensive options.

Versatile, perfect sounding, sturdy, and cheap!
I bought this to replace my Flowmaster 40 series muffler on my V6 Ford Probe, which was way too loud. I took a chance that the Thrush Turbo would be of crappy build, not quiet enough, or wouldn't fit. With the amazing price, and good reviews, I decided to go with it. Here are the results: Build quality: I was pleasantly surprised to see that this muffler is very sturdy. It's heavy for its size, but not so heavy that it adds unnecessary weight to your vehicle (if that's a concern of yours). It's an aluminum muffler, which supposedly may not last as long as a stainless steel muffler, but, IMO, the advantage of SS is overrated. And for $20-$30 replacement cost, who cares. Versatility: The size of the muffler was way smaller than anything else I've seen, which means it will fit in a variety of applications, and removes some of the stress about installing it. I was able to get this muffler put on for under $50 at my local shop. My understanding is that it is reversible, meaning you can install it to flow in either direction. Furthermore, it's a nice open muffler with reduced back pressure over your typical stock setup, which is a nice little bonus, especially if you actually have a turbo (I don't). Sound: I was in love with it from the moment I started the car. At idle, it's got the low, mellow tone of what I would describe as a typical stock V8. Very smooth with no midrange or high end tone. During normal driving (1K to 3K RPM), the tone remains very mellow, even if you goose the throttle a little. It's perfectly acceptable to cruise through the neighborhood without the least bit of discomfort. If you jump on it and do an accel run, the thing comes alive. There is a minor rasp around 4K, but it's barely noticeable, and it's quickly supplanted by a sporty, yet refined timbre all the way to the top. That being said, it's still far from the loud aggression that will draw the attention of the cops as you drive by them (trust me, I know where that threshold is all too well). Overall, this muffler seems to me the best of many worlds, and is the best combination of build quality/sound/price/ease of installation that I have seen. It will probably be my go-to muffler for all of my cars from now on - even my wife's car. She doesn't care about tone or performance, but if she needed a new one, this is so cheap and versatile that it doesn't make sense to look at anything else (an OEM muffler would certainly be more).

Good sound for a muscle car
So I was looking for a cheap muffler to make my skid steer quieter, and I should have done more research. Even though I am only running a 13 hp predator engine on my skid steer this only quieted the exhaust noise by about 5 db and changed the sound a little so it sounds like the '75 Camaro that I had in high school instead of a riding lawn mower. Interesting but not what I was going for. I was looking for 95 carolla.

choppy and easy
I have a 2001 Ford F150 2 Wheel Dr. lariat super crew 4.6 engine and I’ll put this muffler on it and it sounds exactly like I wanted it to believe it or not. I have the same muffler on my son‘s Nissan Xterra and it sounds nice with the v6 4.0 engine, but for obvious reasons it sounds better on my v8. it’s got a nice understated choppy sound, but it isn’t unbearably loud and I haven’t had a drone yet and I’ve been up to about 70. I will definitely be remembering this muffler in the future for other vehicles. It actually fit right over the pipe where I cut the factory muffler off, so that was super convenient, and I just put a downpipe and ended it right under the truck. I made it easy on myself this time as I usually weld everything together, but I ended up just using a clamp to connect it because it was so easy to do. I swear my truck accelerates better but perhaps that is simply psychological. I know for sure it sounds a bunch better than factory. it sounds great on a V6 engine, but like I said much much better on a V8.

Great! Affordable! Easy to install
After two years of ownership, I’m very pleased with this muffler. Great rumble! Good price, and it was very fast to install with exhaust clamps. No more going to welding shops! 2003 F150 XLT w/ 4.6 triton dual exhaust

Nice Muffler / Great Value / quiet but sound good
Installed them under my 1989 K1500 Silverado. They are high quality. The inlets and outlets are 2.5 ID. Mine were not necked down inside as one poster had shown. I just replaced them because my prior 2.25 mufflers were about to their end after 8 years. Wasn't looking for better performance but with the 2.5 tailpipes I pulled the hill near my house a little stronger without it shifting down. They have a nice rumble, but I quiet, which I like.

Great cheap muffler with low tone but not too loud.
I bought this to use on a 2004 Toyota Tacoma V6. Mine came in perfect shape. It is a bit shorter and a bit wider than the stock muffler that was on my truck. The height is about the same. I replaced all the pipe from the catalytic converter (downstream) back and I did the work so the inlet and outlet locations weren't very crucial in my case. One thing to note is that you will need to make or buy hanger rods and weld them on wherever needed as there are none on the muffler. The sound is good. Deeper than stock but not loud at all. The main reason I purchased this muffler is because it was a good price and I've had multiple Thrush mufflers in the past that were all quality made products that lasted years. I have no doubt that this one will be the same

It's quality stuff, but it doesn't sound mean... IT SOUNDS WEAK. THE SAUCE IS WEAK
Doesn't sound anything like these other comments say. it sounds like a straight up daisy puller. Fairy/garden gnome type stuff, man. Maybe it's because I drove without a muffler for a day before I put it on, maybe it's because I only have a 4 cyl, but man... it sounds just like the crappy, rusted OEM muffler I had on. It fits perfect, it's good quality, and it got here fast... the sound though? crrraaaaaaapppppppppyyyy and weak af. Pros: -Great, solid build. Good quality... great, even. -Looks pretty sweet. It's got a brushed nickel type finish, and I've gotten it wet and let it sit overnight multiple times without a hint of rust (although I did spray the underside body of it with rubberized coating). -Stupid good pricing. Cons: -Doesnt sound anything like people on here are claiming. I don't know if they're just deaf, or maybe had earmuffs on while listening to their old mufflers the entire time, THEN put this muffler on and took OFF the earmuffs and were like "whoa, I can actually hear my car for onCE AND IT SOUNDS AMAZING!!", or maybe they had a dark side vader-choke thing going on but, like, on their ears/hearing and right when they put this on it stopped. Whatever it is, it's all hype. It sounds like a stock muffler. I got a Cherrybomb Glasspack muffler and now my car sounds amazing. Not at all with this thing. Too much muffle not enough ruffle, ya know? and yes I did just invent that phrase "too much muffle not enough ruffle". I also invented "that's what she said", but I get NO credit for it. -Its heavy. like, heavier than my old muffler (which probably means more chambers, which means less vroom vroom sound). That wouldn't be a bad thing, but the exhaust hangers Amazon says everyone gets with this don't exactly hold that weight up too well if you're trying to mob fast and, let's say, you don't see that dip in the road in time and makes you tense and cringe as a loud scrape echos through your bones. That totally didn't happen to me, like, no way that ain't even like me at all... I'm just sayin, is all. -Didnt see an inkling of performance gains. New mufflers should (in my humble and subjective opinion) give you a throaty growl and decrease back pressure to net yourself a few more ponies (unless you're a nerd, and driving the kids to soccer practice and you, for some dumb nerd reason, DONT want an obnoxiously loud and/or powerful car). -I don't know why all these mufflers are like this, but do you know how hard it is to find 2.5inch OUTER diameter flex pipes, couplers, butt joints (lmao), etc? It's virtually impossible, so all the pipes end up kissing each other on the mouth like some kind of sappy romcom while you're sitting there with your **** in your hand, trying to figure out how to make a round tube fit inside another round tube of the EXACT SAME DIAMETER". it's infuriating and maddening, but with some resolve and a "can-do attitude", you can make it work. But yo, buy some JB weld or muffler putty if you're not fancy at and have access to a MIG welder. Overall, I give it 3 stars. The sheer audacity of Thrush to call this an "aggressive sound" muffler definitely makes this deservedly drop a couple mario-bros-invincible-power-ups.

Sonido discreto, excelente material y excelente desempeño
Nuevamente Thrush no decepciona

Elegante y silencioso
Los silenciadores de fabrica son buenos silenciando, pero el sonido que se les escapa incluye agudos y sonidos feos. Este silenciador es similar a uno de fabrica, la diferencia es que el poco sonido que se le escapa suena elegante y fino. He probado otros, flowmaster, alpha vector, etc... (incluido su papá, el super turbo de dynomax) y sin duda mi favorito es el thrush turbo.

Good price, Good muffler!
Opted for the turbo instead of the welded to keep my neighbourhood asleep while I go home at night, couldn't be happier with it. Threw this on with a high flow 2.5in cat, custom 2.5in exhaust I had fabricated for my r34 and it sounds great. Satisfying rumble and mid-lowish range exhaust note giving my car that racecar sound and not a Honda fart can sound. Keep in my my car is a I6 engine though so results my differ ! Although drone is a little loud at the 2k rpm range its not unbearable, still can hear radio and people talking.

Buen mofle sonido OEM
