Mosquito Head Net Mesh Face Cover

This is a great headnet. It's super light, has its own little stuff sack (attach a small carabiner so you don't lose it) and when you need it, you need it. Some of the other ones I have purchased have a weird smell to them, and this one doesn't (if you know, then you know). Use it with a bucket hat or baseball hat to keep it off your face and it does exactly what you need it to do. Worth the price and the protection!

Works great. Sized large enough for me to use over my rain / sun hat, a Marmot Precip Safari hat with a 3" brim all around. The wide brim keeps the netting off my ears and neck thereby making it harder for bugs to bite through it. With a baseball cap, the netting would lie on your skin in some places and a mosquito or black fly could bite you. There's a drawstring to cinch up the bottom around a shirt collar. And it adds virtually no bulk or weight to a pack. While it may be a little annoying to wear this, your choices are..... 1.) Dealing with annoying itching bug bites and risking getting sick on the trail. 2.) Using DEET or Picaridin on your exposed skin which is an annoying coating of slimy chemical. Personally, I think the net is lighter, safer, and cheaper than using chemical repellents. I still carry Picaridin but I use it sparingly and a bottle lasts a lot longer. Also, if you are in black fly country, the sheer numbers can drive you insane even if you're not getting bitten because you're using a repellent. They get in your hair, your nose, your mouth, your ears. The net is just a much better solution for these nasty little pests. Can also be used to create a crayfish trap or a net for small fish and frogs in a survival situation.

Love this bug head net cover. I previously bought one that is grey and the visibility is not good. This one by Sea to Summit is black and has great visibility. Perfect size to wear over my sun hat.

Does the trick! I use this for walks in the woods in the summer and it keeps the flies off my head. And it's really not difficult to see out of at all. I liked it so much I bought one for my husband.

Very good net. Used this net on my Appalachian Trail hike and it work against noseeums, gnats, mosquitos, and the hated black fly. Net packs very light and compact (comes with small stuff sack). Stuff it in a corner of your pack and you will almost forget you have it along. The thing that makes this net better than others I tried is it's size. It is large and works with full brimmed hats or baseball caps equally well. The net falls to the shoulders and does not collect around the neck unless you choose to pull the drawstring tight. The size allows for easy on and off and a minimum of adjusting. Bigger is better in this case.

My old net really was uncomfortable and hard to see through the netting. This one is a million times better so I'll be getting one for my husband too!

Good product

Performed exactly as described by vendor. How rare is that? Previously I would shut my eyes tight and spray DEET directly onto my face in order to keep black flies from biting my eyelids or dying in my eyes. Either of which would cause my eyes to swell shut for a couple of days. The DEET would only burn for a few seconds. Now I only spray the DEET on my hat. It fits perfectly over a straw panama with 14 inch diameter brim with plenty of slack to cinch up on your collar. A baseball cap works well but its velcro gets tangled onto the net, so a snap adjusted ball cap works better. The permethrin treatment is probably not a repellent so I got the untreated one as I live in the swamps of DC and rely on DEET. The stuff sack is a bonus and means I'll never attack bamboo without it.

Small and light but ready to go as soon as those little buzzers show their face! I used this for a couple of days camping and especially over night I was really thankful I got one! Recommended!

ハイキングのときに顔の周りを飛び回る羽虫を追い払うのって面倒で気になっていましたが、これをつけると、耳とかまぶたとかに止まることがなくなるので、気にならなくなり快適に歩けるようになりました。見た目が少し気にはなりますが、快適性の方が勝ります。風も通り抜けるし、視界への影響も気にならない程度です。

War im australischen Outback sehr froh, das Netz mitzuhaben. Erfüllt seinen Zweck optimal und auch die Sicht ist durch das schwarze Netz sehr gut. Ich habe unter dem Netz eine Kappe getragen (keinen Hut wie auf der Abbildung) da ich meist einen Pferdeschwanz trage. Hat perfekt geklappt. Mein Freund hat das Netz überhaupt ohne Hut/Kappe getragen, was ebenso gut funktioniert hat. Das Einzige, das ich nicht gefunden habe, ist der Inhalt "Permethrin" wie in der Produktbeschreibung angegeben ist. Nirgends auf der Verpackung steht, dass ein solcher Inhaltsstoff im Netz enthalten ist bzw dieses mit solchen behandelt wurde. Das bewiesen auch die mind. 20 Fliegen die täglich auf unseren Netzen saßen. Das Netz scheint daher keine abwehrenden Stoffe zu enthalten. Störte uns aber nicht, da man durch das Netz schließlich guten Schutz genießt.

Sorpresa dal fatto che con rete nera la visibilità è davvero ottima, direi proprio superiore alla "classica" rete bianca. Devo ancora provarlo in azione, ma per intanto sono contenta che non puzzi di plastica o abbia odori strani.
