Based on my research, this ring light is one of the most affordable that isn't built to fall apart.It is well-designed, comes with a nice carrying case, and it feels solid. Unlike other ring lights, it does not have any parts that obviously get too hot. We have used it for months with no failure, but I will update this review if it dies, because many cheaper ring lights have a reputation for failing not longer than 6 or 7 months after first use.The main downside is that it is top-heavy, so the included tripod is not stable, especially when extended to more than 3ft/1m. That said, it is the light that matters -- we can always get a large, aftermarket tripod.

This unfortunately is not the high quality I was lead to believe. Very shaky. I have one that looks exactly like this but it is very sturdy and half the price. I'm sorry...I wanted to love this
