I’ve been working on and tinkering with fuel injected vehicles since TBI and have over 20 working manufacturer specific diagnostic programs so I know it can be difficult to get some of them working. I’ve tried Ford VCM‘s several times… finally the technology is properly unlocked! I was able to update a Ford PCM and add a PATS 2 key to a vehicle which only had one working key so this one works….

Wow. It was a nice cheap alternative to getting a scanner with parameter reset and when it finally worked I was happy. Getting to that point was much more difficult than expected. I have an IT background also as others here.The problem however is that the instructions are poorly written. In my trials to get it working, I came across the method of loading the VCI 1.0.0 first (Select ford VCI, and set the bridge to STIC) then the IDS software and then finally the SVCI setup software. The instructions state that the load order does not matter and fails to mention the VCI software at all. Lastly the cds are useless, google search for ford (motorcraft) VCI software and use instead. The IDS needs to com from SVCI (fly) as ford has a newer version that does not work. Lastly be sure to use the SVCI shortcut to start, otherwise IDS will ask for a license. Also ignor the poorly written instruction that states to load ids and SVCI setup on different computers. Everything will work from one laptop just fine. Hope that this helps

It works great! I was able to update the modules with the latest software and gain security access to reset parameters for PATS.

It showed up on time!I do not recommend purchasing.

It comes with two burnt dvds in my case one was heavy scratched. Both failed to load in any of the seven pc's and laptops I tried to read them in.I started a return, Then spent the next nine hours hunting up the correct software and information to get it to work. May copies of IDS exist but no instructions at all on how to make it work. I have been in IT for many years and this was a chore to get to function.Ended up canceling my return because I ended up getting it to work on my own. Your mileage may very.If you are not very good with computers and finding stuff on the internet I would not buy this.

Fantastic pass thru for Ford, Worked for IDS and ForScan, thousands cheaper than name brands, will get the job done for you.

Worked nice, checked DTCs, reset KAM, checked for PCM update, no issues so far.Setup is not straightforward.

Worked with FJDS to program a replacement BCM on a 2013 F150. Setup is cumbersome and directions look like some my 11 year old wrote. Website is wrong in directions also so download was difficult to find. In the end download did not work, had to use cd. Who uses cds anymore for drivers? But it worked and allowed FJDS to connect and go through PMI. Some functions were not accessible though. May be an issue with ms bus not connecting? Had to finish the program with ForScan. Got it done though and now have the connector for the next time.
