IT was hard to understand and i have used one in the past it was hard work ether that or i am getting old and I don't think that is the case it is well made and will last though so if you think you can get on with it read the write up first then buy it that's the best I can advise

I purchased to use for acrylic painting. A very comprehensive colour wheel which also features a tone identifier which is great for graphite work and also a colour harmony identifier. As some have mentioned, it is best to use the you tube instructions, the address of which is given on the packaging. These make clear what otherwise could be a steep learning curve.The wheel is fairly robust, packed with information and once mastered it is easy to use. Acrylics are a great medium for painting, but can be overwhelming with the ease of mixing hundreds of colours, shades and tints with just a few tubes of colour. This wheel helps find harmonising colours for your work with ease.Comes in its own little cardboard wallet, seems robust enough. Helps to see colour theory in practice. The only drawback for me is the fonts used are very small, although in fairness, there is a lot of information there. A good buy.

I bought this wheel as a tool to help me create my own colour palettes and translating them into art and design. It is a fabulous idea, with comprehensive information all in one place. Although the system seems complicated, it does have instructions for using it, both on the wheel itself and on the cardboard sleeve for storing it.For me, however, the two biggest issues are;1- poor colour reproduction - the red looks like a shade of orange and the violet looks like just another shade of blue. This is supposed to be a visual tool, therefore, how can I trust the colour mixes just by looking at this wheel if these two colours are ‘off’. I cannot comment on the accuracy of using the various colour codes as I haven’t tried them yet.2 - The size of the print is very small, even for someone with good eyesight. I get that it’s a lot of information to fit on a disc measuring 23.5cm (91/4 inches) in diameter, however, the colour codes are almost unreadable on the darker coloured areas, even with a magnified glass.Overall, not easy to read but contains useful information for creative ideas.

this is a good aid to colour mixing and an easy enough tool. The only thing I have to complain is that some of the colour values are off, since the yellow doesnt look quite as yellow and the orange seems off too.

This wheel contains a lot of useful information and takes a little getting used to. Watching the video is helpful. It is well laid out and the inner wheels spin so that you can see all the colour combinations. This is especially useful for interior decorating or hanging baskets or flower arrangements.It was originally designed for artists in painting. Highly recommended. But....one little error, as you can see from the photo Tint is defined as the color plus white. The top color is Blue but the tint underneath clearly has some green in it. I checked this with my partner and she saw blue green as well.

When I first received it I thought there was something missing- but when `i contacted the seller Paul, he got in touch straight away and told me how to use it and I realised what a useful and comprehensive tool it was for colour mixing- and it also includes an ingenious value and grey scale section as well. Very sturdy and well made. A good addition to the painter's paint box.

Although I've only just started to use this very comprehensive tool, I can see how it will deliver the benefits of accurate colour values and tones. I'm particularly impressed with the Harmony Maker component that helps pull together the various colours and tints that work in harmony in a given picture. That's going to be endless fun and a great learning opportunity.When I first opened the packet I was overwhelmed by the tools apparent complexity. However the YouTube video explaining how to use all the features was very helpful and I now know how to apply them in my future artwork.
