Doesn’t work, period.
I was very disappointed with this foodmill. It looks great, but doesn’t work at all. The vegetables were stuck at the bottom of the mill, and wouldn’t go through the disk. I ended up throwing it away. Sorry! I’ve owned food mills all my life and never had such a problem.

This is a really great food mill
This is a really great food mill. It came with 2 strainer parts, small and medium which is perfect because I don't see any use for the ones that come with 3. It is easy to change the parts, easy to clean and turn. It has a smooth turning motion. I went to Jax and a man working there sneered at me when I asked him how this Norpo was because I didn't like the tiny holes in the strainer that came with the Foley food mill, replying "That was what my mother used!" Anyhow, I'd imagine this works just as good or better than the ever famous Foley. Great for applesauce and canning apple filling for other various desserts!

Nice machine!
I recently bought a Norpro Stainless Steel food mill for making apple sauce in rather large quantities. The mill was very easy to assemble, use and clean. I also love that it won't rust or stain! The only drawback I noticed so far, is that, because the mill has separate sieve bases that allow for different levels of "mashing", some of the unwanted particles of apples were able to sqeeze through the botttom of the mill, into the sauce. I didn't have any of that problem when using a one-piece mill.

looks like they inversed the blades so the food cannot get ...
it doesn't mash anything. looks like they inversed the blades so the food cannot get caught in the twirl. so unless the food is already mashed, nothing happens. i used to own one and lost it years ago and the blades were rough on the inside and slick on the outside. these blades are the inverse and i tried to reverse them but they don't fit like that. Why sell such a product? it cost me lots of money and returning it would cost me additional. i would not recommend this item

Quality Food Mill
I really like the food mill. the Unit is definitely quality. stainless steel is easy to clean up and assembles well. handle and cross bar fit securely into place ( no flying off parts like some brands). the only con is that i find the design jams up with the peels. putting less in, helped this problem some. using it for apple sauce, I found it left a little more of the good stuff in it than my old one antique but since i have my own trees it isn't that big of a deal,
