Second pair of Mizuno Inspire
Needed to replace my 1st Mizuno Inspire but no longer available. This is more of a "knit" but substantial. I don't unlace/lace but just push my foot in and the back small collar is sturdy and easily accommodates. A reasonably priced great shoe.

Good shoes
Good running shoes for the price. They stand up well for heavier runners. If you like a roomy fit for your toes these will be great for you

Love it or hate it type of shoe
Mizuno Men's Wave Inspire 16 Waveknit is the tighter fitting variant of this shoe. If you try them, keep that in mind. Mizuno offers a looser variant that also happens to be lighter (non-knit). I liked it so much that I bought a similar type of shoe for my everyday walkers. Also keep in mind that this shoe is designed for over pronation, if you do not, MIzuno makes other shoes more appropriate to your gate. (supination or neutral)Longest run: 4.5 milesNormal run: 3.5Outside only, I use my worn shoes or cheap shoes on the treadmill.height/wt: 6'1" / 225 lbs (down from 237!)Pro:-tight knit is not too tight and stretches to accommodate my foot/flexible and soft-the wrap feels like it adds more support to my feet for my current heavy weight-good enough cushion considering my size-light (there are lighter shoes, but not worth it for me)-good turnover/responsiveness (energy transfer/stiffness/flexibility), I feel agile in them-good grip on post rain wet pavement/blacktopCon-expensive (for me at least)-tight knit is not for everyone, consider the try before buy option if available on Amazon (may be a promotional thing)-might soak up water if caught in the rainNeutral-concern that the knit may not last, but there is no clear indication that it will not.

Comfortable af
I've worn flagship neutral/stability models by ASICS and Brooks for the last few years (most recently Kayano 26) and that's what I'm comparing this shoe to.*Really light* The way the shoe is constructed, especially the slight curve at the heel end makes a great job at keeping your feet in place during runs. No wiggly feet during runs.*Extremely comfortable. I have low arches/overprenation and wide feet, and wear orthotic insoles with most shoes. This shoe works great with insoles since the top is soft and doesn't press on your feet.*This is a neutral shoe with no stability or heel support and decent amount of cushioning.*I find the profile ideal, with lots of support where needed, and despite this the soles don't feel thick ((even though they sort of are)

No breaking in time needed.
These shoes are great right out of the box. They do run a size small, but I’ve ordered them before,so I knew what size to get. I use them for long distance and ultra runs. They feel great. The only downside is that they don’t last too long. It could be I’m a bit hard on them, but if you use them for anything but running, the upper material wears out . It’s the first running shoe I’ve had where the sole lasts longer. I also wait till they’re on sale. I think the retail price is a little high for as short a time (4-6 months) as they last. Good shoe though. I’m on my eighth or ninth pair.

Wave inspire 16 vs wave sky 4
I purchased the wave sky 3's which were my first pair and they were very comfortable. I thought if I spent more money I would get at least the same comfort but the wave inspire 16 was really different, so I sent them back and ordered the new wave sky 4 an improved version of the 3.You will like them

My husbands favorite shoe
My husband ran a full marathon years ago. He found these shoes and has not worn anything else since then. He is also in retail and wears these shoes daily. He always orders the same size and the shoe always fits just the same as his last pair.

Perfect for standing on hard surfaces
I bought these not for running but for an “all day on my feet on a hard floor” job, where I work 10-12 hour shifts. These are incredibly cushy yet supportive. Definitely rival the Adidas Ultraboost in that regard. They also fit well enough that I’d use them for running if I ever did that any more. I had the wave inspire 14 and loved those, the 16 did not disappoint. Found my new favorite shoe.
