Lupo's Original Endicott Style Spiedie Marinade Sauce 16oz

We’ve been ordering “Lupos brand” Spiedie marinade for well over 25 years!! We used to order it directly from Lupo’s in upstate New York, but now that Amazon sells it. it’s a little bit easier to get and arrives faster.In our opinion, it’s the BEST marinade for grilling all kinds of meat!! Highly recommend!

If you know spiedies, then you know Lupo's. Went back to triple cities last summer and ate our way through the area. I order this marinade off of amazon when I can't get back to Bing. I also have my own recipe, but this is just easier sometimes to just marinate the chicken or pork. I like the flavor and, of course you let it marinate for a full 24 hours minimum. (you can also try State Fair spiedie marinade as well) Lupo's is the standard though and a great product. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

If you didn't spend any time there, you wouldn't realize how pervasive this stuff is in the Binghamton, New York region, or why there's a cottage industry shipping it to former residents around the country. You'll find it in delis, at ballparks, any patio party. You can cook them on the grill, on the griddle, serve the meat on rolls, on salads, over rice, it's even a beloved pizza topping with white (garlic) sauce. On a skewer, you can do them up with red onions and bell peppers. As a sandwich, you can throw in provolone and sauteed mushrooms and onions like a Philly cheesesteak. It's tangy, acidic, and works with chicken, pork, lamb, one ancient local restaurant even marinates prime rib in it and makes a flatbread appetizer.If you're curious, after twenty years in the area, I recommend this one over the competitors. I also recommend allowing a full 24 hours for the marinade to really penetrate the meat, and once you assemble your preferred vegetables on the skewers, pouring a little of what's left over the top of the skewers before you throw them on the grill.

I’ve never been to NY and eaten a “true” Spiedie but I can say this marinade/sauce is delicious! As a marinade it works best 24-48 hours, however I also use it as a cooking sauce. With the marinade I cut up chicken breast into bite size 1.5” by 1.5” appx pieces, marinade for 24+ hours and then put them along with onions and bell peppers on shish ka bob skewers and cook over a charcoal grill. As a sauce I also cut the chicken breast up the same and marinade for a little bit and pour the Lupo’s and chicken into a pan on the stove top. This only takes minutes and is still delicious.This is a bold and delicious marinade and I highly recommend it to all. If you enjoy good flavors then give this a try!

Having been reared 35 miles from the Triple Cities, I can assuredly affirm that Lupo's marinade is the most authentic on the market. These are the flavors that I remember and now I can make spiedies at home.
