4 coats, poor coverage

I normally rave about Bluesky gel polishes and I was really looking forward to going for a summery look with Mint Humbug. The colour is gorgeous, but the consistency of the gel polish itself is much thinner than all my other Bluesky gels and it's really lacking opacity. It's so sheer that I've had to do 4 coats of colour to achieve an opaque colour, and even then I could probably have done with a 5th coat as the colour still has patches of slight sheerness in the daylight. So - top marks for the shade itself, but below average formula.

I love bluesky gel polishes and have quite a few in my drawer. This one is my absolute favourite, though! The colour is beautiful and I always get compliments on it. It just makes me so happy when I look at my fingers and see this colour winking at me!

Good product, but the color does not match the picture!

Palma Violet’s is a really pretty colour. It is pretty pale, so you do need a few coats. I used four thin coats to get the colour in my picture.I also had the turquoise (think it’s called raspberry something) and that was really nice too.I have added foils to my nails on top of the gel colour (I didn’t actually need any additional foil glue, the foils stuck straight onto the tacky layer of the gel, which was great).Excuse my cuticles, I really need to find my hand cream and oils.Really pleased overall with this gel, recommend!

I bought the dolly mixture colour and it is a perfect colour for doing white tips. Just what I wanted. It is slightly translucent which looks natural with white tips.

The photograph shows a much lighter colour. But you need 4+ coats to get a decent result. I am disappointed as it’s very green with so many coats and many coats are needed. I wouldn’t buy this colour again as it’s not reliable and puts me off further products. Usually I love Bluesky but this time it’s not been very good.
