This lap desk was exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be more pleased. It's the perfect size for my 17" laptop. No room for a mouse, but I don't always use a mouse and when I do it's no problem to set the mouse right beside me and use it on whatever surface I'm sitting on. The material underneath is comfortable, lightweight, and cool. I really like the wrist support that keeps my wrists in a good ergonomic position with the added benefit of keeping the laptop from sliding down. The wood look is nice and makes it not even noticeable when I have it stored right beside my couch in the den when not in use. I often sit at my desk to use my laptop, but when I want a change of scenery or to be in the den with my husband, it works great. I've also used it for supporting a book I'm reading or writing a note and it's quite handy for those things as well.

Solid lap desk. Very comfortable. Lots of room. Makes working from home much easier.

This lap desk is exactly what I was looking for. I needed two of them (one for upstairs and one for downstairs). I only bought one because I was uncertain about the quality. After receiving the product and now seeing that it is a quality built lap desk, I will now make a purchase of a second one. I really do love this lap desk. The padding on the bottom surface of the lap desk is made of a material that is not slick and there is no worry of the lap desk sliding off your lap when you wiggle around in your chair or sofa to get in a comfy position. Also, the lap desk elevates my laptop off my lap and I no longer feel uncomfortable heat on my legs coming from my laptop computer. The wrist pad on the lap desk serves a dual purpose. The wrist pad makes typing comfortable and if you use the lap desk for reading a book, the wrist pad keeps your book from sliding off the lap desk. The rubber feet on the bottom of my laptop computer keeps it securely in place on my lap desk, but even if my laptop computer didn't have rubber feet, the lap desk wrist pad would keep the laptop computer in place just like it does when I use the lap desk to read books. I also love the carry handle built into the lap desk making it easy to carry from room to room.

This is lovely! Stop your search for lap desks, do yourself a favor and buy. this. now. It was delivered sooner than it said it would be, and is just beautiful. My huge laptop fits with plenty of room to spare. It does not slide at all when tilted, the wrist pad is great, and the bottom memory foam is SO much nicer than those stupid little balls my last one was filled with. It is so comfortable on my legs and looks like an executive desk. This is amazing. I am taking online college classes right now and I feel so much more professional! Amazing buy. SO happy with this purchase! Not very expensive either. Great, great product.

I'm not sure I'd buy this as a gift for someone because it's so obviously a cheap laminate rather than real hardwood. That said, it's lighter than real wood would be, and the cushion for your knees and the little pad for wrist support make it vastly more comfortable than working with your laptop on your knees. It's not extremely light, but it's light enough, and it's got a convenient but low-profile handle for carrying it around. So, from an ergonomic/practicality standpoint, this thing is fantastic -- just don't be fooled into thinking it's high quality hardwood. Up close, it's a pretty cheap-looking, grainy image of wood printed on a laminate surface. And I'm guessing it would be pretty easy to accidentally scratch/cut/damage the laminate surface and expose whatever is underneath.

A friend loaned me his Lap Desk several months ago because I hated the crappy model by another company I had for my 18 inch Alienware. I tried his and didn't want to give it back! It did have the switch and led light option which I had no use for but I really enjoyed how comfortable it was. I didn't like the color options for the models without the led and switch though (no wood grain option) so I kept using his Lap Desk. Then he asked for it back! Damn!!! So we looked on Amazon and noticed that now they had the basic model with the wood grain finish so I ordered it immediately.It is the same quality of my friend's model minus the switch and USB port for the light which actually interfered with the back of my Alienware anyway. It fits the 18 inch model perfectly and as heavy as my laptop is, the cushion on the bottom makes putting it on my lap unbelievably comfortable. It is well built and I have no complaints at all! If you are looking for a large work space for your laptop or reading, tablet or crafts, this is the Lap Desk to get. If you need a light for reading, crafts or your laptop, get the model with the USB light and switch.

I never write reviews - but I bought this so I wouldn't have to work at my desk all of the time. It's been 3 months of using it and I highly recommend. Its slightly more $ but worth it; the handle on the back is useful for storage, the sturdy foam is lightweight (enough) and prevents my laptop from overheating. It fits my 13" Mac and a mouse & mousepad comfortably. The wrist pad isn't too tall and actually comfortable. the style is nice and sleek - the top is fake wood that seems sturdy. Would buy again/for friends!

I’ve had a nice lap desk before, but the memory foam is much more comfy than I was expecting. The wrist support and angle make typing much better. The wood is good looking and if good quality.
