Westcott Lettering, Stenciling Paper Template (ALG-1)

I can't draw straight lines with a ruler even! I was so frustrated trying to draw perfect 1/4 over 1/8 sized spacing for Architecture lettering. So I ordered one and it's a must have tool! If you want a lines to be perfect this tool is for you. Easy to use just stick pencil in hole and glide along your ruler securing the stencil. I will always use this tool as well! I am not sure what the other holes are for in the circle. It definitely great value for money. Size is small eough for a pencil bag. I love this tool it's a must have now!

This was a replacement for my old one that I misplaced. I had no problem getting a sharpened pencil in the guide. It's a good tool and does what it was made for, consistent guide lines.

My own crappy handwriting aside, this device works perfectly. I'd recommend watching a YouTube tutorial if you've never used one, but it's a simple till that gives consistent results. It does seem a little fragile and I wish the disc spun a little easier. That said, once it's set, it stays there until you move it.

This is the second I've purchased. The first one was so awesome, someone zte it from me. Since it is so awesome, i couldn't go without one! Great item fkr hand lettering!

I wish this came with instructions for people like myself who are new to using a lettering tool like this, but a few YouTube videos helped me figure it out relatively quickly. Otherwise, no complaints! It’s small and nice to have in my bag whenever I want to draw or practice lettering.

It lasted 4 days... I am willing to work with the seller to change the review if it was a fluke with the product and the send a replacement. If this is in case the fact I will replace the review with a more accurate one. For now it is a one star product in my eyes.

I used an Ames Lettering guide extensively when I was in college. So, I ordered this particular version because it had fairly good reviews and there were several items of hand lettering, including some calligraphy projects, that I wanted to finish. The Westcott looked good in the package but when I removed it from the sleeve I noticed a slight flaw on the disk. The upshot is that the flaw was more than “slight” and prevented the disk from rotating into a usable position. I realize the guide didn’t cost that much and I did receive a refund, but it was an annoyance that I wasn’t able to use it for my planned project. Another shortcoming in my opinion is the lack of an instruction sheet for those who have never used an Ames Lettering Guide. That would seem to be a simple benefit to include.

Das ist wirklich old school... aber grossartig! Macht spass! Ach so. Es geht dabei um Zeilenabstände, Buchstabengrößen und so. Ohne Computer oder APP. Das hier ist wirklich keine gute Werbung für die junge Generation, glaube ich...

Lettering comics is a pain at the best of times but his tool takes some of the pain out of it. The guide holes allow for pretty much any combination of line separation for ascenders, descenders and letter body. It's so easy to use once you get used to it. I'm doing an illustration course at the moment and lettering comic balloons is a breeze.

On dirait pas mais le plastique est 100% transparent donc c'est très bien. La partie ronde tourne très bien .
