As another reviewer mentioned, the "breakaway" aspect of this is questionable. I saw that in all its horror today when this collar almost killed my cat.My cat had somehow gotten the collar stuck in his mouth. When I tried to get him to help free him, he had darted away, still with the collar stuck in his mouth. When I finally got a hold of him less than a minute later, he was struggling to breathe and his tongue and nose were blue. If I had not been home when this happened, he would be dead.I have removed them from the rest of my cats for fear of a similar incident.

Really wanted to love this collar. It's lovely, reflective and the bell was great. I have incredible hand strength, and I had a hard time opening the "break-a-way" collar. If my 15 lb cat got caught, I'm afraid the collar would not open and my cat would choke to death. I bought a cheaper collar and put the name tag and bell on it. BTW, I bought 2 collars, and one of them was made wrong and didn't open all the way. They replaced for no charge. Loved all the colors, but not break-a-way, and it took forever to arrive. So, a bit too durable and sturdy. I thought if I'd just open a close a few times it would get better, it did not.

My cat inexplicably lost his previous collar somewhere in the house, never to be found again. This collar fits him well and looks good. The text is clear, easy to read, and has not rubbed off in the few months I've had it. The only thing I don't like is the reflective part is super reflective when I take a picture of him with flash (black cat problems) it flashes the collar. But that just means it would be great if he were to escape the house and be running around in the street at night.

Well made and looks great on my fur babies! One of the collars was caught in the door and released automatically which makes this a safe product.

I ordered this and I think it literally came from China. I had to wait 3 weeks to get it. Go to PetsMart and get one. It appears to be a secure snap off clasp, but I was concerned it wouldn't break apart if my cat got hung up in something. I got the smaller collar and it's too big. My cat can get his teeth around the collar and I've got it to the smallest length. I wasn't impressed with the printed text on the metal collar plate. It looks like it could wear off easily. The collar is sturdy, but not a good fit for my cat. Next time, I'll just spend a extra couple bucks and get a collar from a local store.

Loved the cat collarsI wanted my cats to be seen and heard if they got out at night, collars reflected light easily, and the bell wasn’t so loud it was annoying in the house but enough to hear outside. I also wanted the collar to easily break away if they got tangled up in a bush, while still having their name and my phone number if someone else found them. I wanted the collars to be narrow in width so it wasn’t so overwhelming and bothersome on their neck!All of these boxes were checked so my cats were safe.My only complaint is it takes a long time to receive them. Otherwise they are exactly what I wanted.Happy customer in fact I’m ordering a 2nd set of different colors.Denise in East TN

So far so good with these collars. As I have two cats, and had just gotten the second cat back in January. While I had collars on both cats prior to buying these collars, I decided to get these as the collar due to their reflective nature. Not fond of yellow, but it’s fine as it’s bright combined with the reflectivity of the collars it makes it easier to see which is great. The bells are Ok, but not the best IMO and do not work good if you are hearing impaired.I do like that the bells are easily changed, so you can put a louder bell on them. They are also break away which I like, as it prevents them from getting hung up by the collar if they snag it on something. Which also means they will not get stressed, like they would with a non breakaway collar if they snag on a piece of wire or other object and stuck. So they also won’t hurt themselves fighting to get themselves free.This is also something I like, for cats that have never worn a collar before. As they won’t choke, while fighting the collar. As my first cat had a breakaway collar that also had a bell, as her first collar and she fought it at first. Now she won’t wear any other collar, unless I put a bell on it as she knows it’s there for her safety.Disclaimer: By the way I have no idea if Jackson Galaxy uses these exact collars. It just has all of the features he has recommended in collars for cats. So if he recommends those features, then that’s good enough for me.Besides I think the reflective material is by 3M, and being my family works for 3M I know it’s good quality reflective material. And should last for a while, before it needs to be replaced.

This is a very cute collar and is very easy to read even with three lines of text. We did his name, my number, and our address and it all fit well and is very clear. It’s easy to pull open, but not too easy so I’m not worried about it falling off needlessly. I like the bell because we specifically got this collar to add an extra layer of protection in case he ever slips his harness when we take him outside, so if that ever happens then we will hopefully be able to hear him jingling. The best thing was that this collar arrived over a month earlier than the estimated arrival date.

Firstly, my fault for not reading the detailed product description but the wording and the picture gave me the impression that two collars would be supplied when in fact, it was only one. It would have been much better value (taking the P&P into account) if two units were supplied.As a previous reviewer stated, it will take some force to "break open" the attachment if the cat gets caught on something - it did ease off a bit after a few insertions however and our cat is quite hefty so I'm not too worried.Whilst it was dispached "within two days", the estimated delivey date was about 6 weeks later (shipped from China?). It did arrive after three weeks however - still a long time though.On the positive side, it is an attractive item and the cats name (Catty Catface), our surname and telephone number were clear and easy to read.

The ears of the cat head clasp a re sharp and pointy. A hard plastic is used for this too and could easily cause harm to the cat (either cut or pierce).Not impressed that it would cost 3.99 to return when it cost 6.99.Cheaper for me to buy a new clasp. Very disappointed.Liked the colour and pattern. Shame such a poor design was used for the clasp.

I particularly wanted a reflective collar as I lost my cat (light coloured Siamese..) on a nearby road. I thought the paw print design was cute & would do the job. I was very happy when it first arrived, I liked the bright colour & the paw prints were very reflective. I thought it would make my new kitten much more visible. 2 weeks later & most of the reflective paw prints have worn off - she hasn't even been outside yet! Very disappointing, not fit for purpose & definitely not worth the stupid price tag! Wouldn't recommend.

... and that is why they get five stars. They will unclip when the scrapping gets to a stage one has got a leg stuck between its sisters neck and the collar so that the other doesn't get strangled. They look and feel nicer than the usual felt ones. The bells hang quite low and knock their food bowl. One of said kittens somehow worked out how to remove the bell, the other I felt sorry for and did it for her. Can't have one having an unfair advantage!

The collars seem good value BUT the ears are DANGEROUS as they can stick into your cat like knives when they try to relax. They MUST be cut off with nail clippers and filed smooth. The bells literally can send your cat crazy (try wearing an earring with a bell on! Please pull it off. The collars themselves very quickly start to get threads hanging off. All in all they are cheaply made and will soon need replacing. The ears are completely uncaring about the poor pets who are forced to wear them.
