Fern Pattern Wall Stencil for Painting - DIY Home Decor Projects Stencils

I absolutely love this stencil,the pattern I chose was on point and came out very well.it was easy to work with and good value for money.

I love this stencil design! I still do despite the trouble and frustration. The paint coagulates in the tiny details like the stems after each use which means that you either have to clean it after each use or risk a producing a product that is missing details. Initially, I chose to redo the imprints but that made a mess that was often unrecoverable. Midway through the way I realized that instead if redoing each imprint i just needed to take 40 minutes to let the stencil dry before removing the old paint so that the inprint could be crisp. Lots of mistakes and redos but it turned out nicely. I also think the metallic gold was part of the problem but the bigger the contrasting the colors the better it looks

Overall I'm happy with how this turned out, but it certainly wasn't easy. I purchased the adhesive spray to help and there is 0 chance I could have done this without it. If I could do it over I'd have started at the very top left and worked my way across then down. I started at the bottom and that made the top very difficult. I ended up cutting the stencil but then had trouble lining it up in some parts...So the finished product certainly isn't perfect, but the average person isn't going to spend a lot of time looking at this wall (it's my entryway) so I'm not splitting hairs over it. It was significantly cheaper than if I would have wallpapered. For reference my walls are repose gray (flat) and I mixed my bright white SW trim paint with a creamy yellowish white SW paint (can't remember the name) to get the color. The sheen of the ferns off the flat gray paint looks really nice in the light. It gives it dimension. I would buy again, was a crazy little project :)

First time using a stencil so I have nothing to compare it to but I love it and love how it turned out! The stencil is large which is great to cover more area however sometimes can be a little hard to line up if you’re doing this by yourself. I tried to use tacky spray based on previous reviews but it actually made it more difficult and found painters tape worked great to keep it in place. I used a 4inch roller (suggest getting one made for semi rough surfaces) and once I realized that you should do as little paint on the roller as possible (rolled out on a paper towel first) they started coming out great! Cut into smaller stencils for edges and corners and am obsessed with the result of how it came out!

Beautiful pattern...need to wipe after a few passes but end produc was very satisfying

I wanted wallpaper or so I thought until I looked at the price. No, gracias! This stencil was the best decision that I made. It’s not the easiest to use because of how large it is but I’m glad it’s large because I did three of the 4 walls in my office. The first two swatches I did came out perfectly howeverrrrrr I didn’t clean between each one. I highly recommend that you do especially if you want clean lines and no bleed. For my purpose, it was perfect though. I wanted more of vintage-y vibe sorta like that Venetian plaster look so I could afford the bleed through. The instructions recommended to apply adhesive and I did but it did not help AT ALL. I ended up using painters tape. All in all. I’m super happy with my office and thinking of another place to do it.

Loved the large size of this stencil. I bought four of them so I could keep going without waiting for the paint to dry on the stencil. We stenciled onto that was sanded and cleaned. We stenciled shellac primer o to the wood. Then stained and wiped off. Next day we gave it 3 coats of poly. Beautiful and durable!
