Spicely Organics Cardamom Powder 2.00 Ounce Jar Certified Gluten Free

DO NOT ORDER!! This is not ground cardamom. I received two 1 lb bags of this product in October and the quality is so poor that it smells like dirt. I have been ordering this exact product from Spicely Organics all year and it has been great, but this new lot/batch number is in NO WAY even close to cardamom. I could not return it but Amazon did refund me for the purchase, so that was good, but I am still without a main ingredient I needed. Choose a different supplier!!

You can use this healthy spice on food and when drinking tea. Check the digestive benefits it has. Are you kidding me? It's Incredible! It's like a lost secret of the ages. Are you on a quest to lose weight? Ta-da cardamom will help eliminate waste. And the list goes on. It's not a snap-your-fingers effect but in time you'll see what I mean. Today its part of my 4-5 must-use spices I cook with everyday. Check it out for yourself, common Google it now :-)

There is no country of origin / source put upon this product. Super disappointed this is not present. Secondly I just did taste test and compared this product to my existing supply .. this product tastes like it is half as powerful. I am going to try to return it .. it is not acceptable

I opened this jar when it arrived this afternoon and as you can see from my photo, this is whole pods that have been ground, not just the seeds. Cardamom pods are tough and inedible and really, they should not be in this jar. It'd be like adding wood chips to my cookies if I use this stuff. I opened the seal on this jar already so I can't return this and that's irritating. Almost as irritating as eating chopped up cardamom pods would be.So I suppose the cardamom in this jar will end up as tea because I certainly can't bake with it.You, potential buyer, have been warned however. Unless you want to make your own chai, do not buy this product if you expect to bake with it.

I wanted to try a new recipe over the holidays (Chai Tea Spiced Cookies - highly recommend it BTW!) that called for a spice I had never used before - Cardamom.After searching high and low for it in my little backwoods mountain town, I realized I was not going to find it here. On a random trip to the "big city" with a friend, we stopped at an international market where I was sure to find Cardamom. I did find it...for $10 for a big jar! I just couldn't fathom paying that much for something I needed a half teaspoon of so on a whim, I checked Amazon, and BAM! here it is, the perfect little size for only $1.99.I ordered 2 by accident but when the first batch of cookies came out so awesomely delicious, I was glad I had a second box on hand to whip up some more.Overall, the spice tasted great and was the perfect size and price for a small project. Thanks!

The package arrived 5 days late, so I didn't get to use it for the recipe I wanted to. The spice is packaged in a tiny plastic bag which is in a tiny plastic box. It is not resealable in any way, which would be a problem for anyone who doesn't have empty spice jars or something around. It was shipped in a large bubble mailer and that's it. Obviously inappropriate packaging for this product. As soon as I opened the mailer the smell filled the room and my cat started sneezing, because of course the product packaging was smashed and leaking. I can't speak to quality as I'm not as familiar with cardamom as I am with some other spices, but it smells strong enough...

I love the flavor of Cardamom and all super fragrant spices such as it and ginger, but I haven't been able to find an organic version at a reasonable cost for quite some time. Thats only one of the things I appreciate about Spicely products; a variety of sizes and prices so that if you are on a limited budget you can afford to indulge in spices without breaking the bank. Also, with a small amount you won't feel bad if you only use it once in a while, or if you're exploring new flavors, you won't feel so bad if you don't ever use one again. So far, always fresh product and quick to arrive. I recommend Spicely.

Don't waste your money and time on buying this product! I use twice as much to get same flavor from other suppliers ! Much better cardamom available at amazon than this taste less spice so please do your search before buying it! Good luck and enjoy the taste of your coffee
