Interesting SciFi figures
I feel sometimes like I'm either repeating myself, or perhaps becoming a Mantic fanboy, but it is difficult to not praise the level of detail on the figures they make. These are no exception to the rule and follow the Mantic tradition of clean, fine detailing and enough options for assembly that you can build a good squad of unique figures. As always there is a lot of detailing here to pick out, and the addition of two robo-dogs with a heavy mounted weapon makes this a very nice set to boost an existing squad. While there are small parts making this unsuitable for young people, they are fun to paint and assemble and make for an attractive squad of figures suitable for pretty much any Science Fiction game. The sniper is a little annoying as it's several small and not immediately obvious pieces. This makes it a challenge to assemble. In addition, most of the parts are cross body, so requiring painting prior to assembly. For patience challenged people, this might be a set to skip. I found that this one figure took the longest to finish, with constant test fitting to check seams and paint matching, and touching up during assembly. As none of the parts fitted flush, there was a need for some body filler and filing, and re-painting, which sucked up more time. At the end, it's a nice figure, but a little on the frustrating side especially as it is provided in pieces and not attached to a sprue.I have to say that I rather dislike this thing of supplying model sets like this, in bits. I would much rather they were attached to a sprue, both to facilitate easier undercoating and painting, but also identification of parts. That's my only complaint though, and doesn't detract from the quality of the models.

Great little starter kit.
I'm getting back into minifig painting after 25 years so was looking for a cheap starter kit to practice on. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sculpt for the money. Decent level of detail and some nice alternative weapons and kit. A little bit fiddly to put together but I've painted up a few and am pleased with the results. Would definitely recommend as a cheap starter kit.

Product is great, but...
Product is great, Mantic are producing some truly good miniatures these days.I bought these on the price, good deal, 12 minis for under £13. Got the delivery, a full sprue missing, so only 6 miniatures, all the bases were in there. Thats my only niggle.Amazon CS, brilliant, did NOT expect the replacement the following before the package had even been collected, thank you. Thought you might have waited on the return to get back before sending the replacement out, but, thank you.

Not like the description
The product details suggest these figures are multicoloured AND require no assembly. This is just not correct. They are standard unpainted sprues.Disappointing.

the burden of assembly is on you, and is not insignificant
Assembly of these figures involves choosing and affixing all legs, arms, and heads, individually. This allows wonderful variation, of course, and the level of detail is very good - crisp and with minimal mold lines. But it's also a significant challenge to end up with assembled figures which are visually balanced in appearance, since you have to fully locate each leg and arm without relation to those which you haven't already affixed. A super smelly thin model glue as for Lexan works very well on this plastic, if you don't want to go with CA glue.

Will buy more (later)
Really great minis. The bases are... Not so hot. I'm going to end up rebasing these onto some of the GW style thicker bases. But this isn't really too much of a knock on these little guys. I do that with most all my gaming minis since I'm more of a hobbyist than an actual wargamer. But for the price these are great. Good detail, some customization options even for you to pick weapon load outs and poses. Part of me wishes it came with some measure of instructions, though assembly does look intuitive enough without them.

Big boys
These are some very large lads, Mantic says they’re 28mm heroic scale but these guys look tall next to some of my Infinity and Malifaux figures, they’re more like a lanky 30 or even 32mm.
