Story slowly draws you in and never slows down
The world is a scary place today with one people group hating another people group for more than 3,000 . It’s hard to understand. Thanks

not the best in the series but still a great read
What can I say? I love the character that Vince Flynn has created in Mitch Rapp. "Pursuit of Honor" is essentially "Extreme Measures, Part II". The story begins 6 days after the terrorist attacks on Washington, D.C. that were the culmination of "Extreme Measures". All of Flynn's Rapp novels contain references to previous books to one degree or another. In the case of "Pursuit", though, the references to "Extreme" are frequent and essential to the story line. I don't think anyone who hasn't read "Extreme Measures" is going to be able to fully understand or fully enjoy "Pursuit of Honor", so I highly recommend reading "Extreme Measures" before taking on this book.Other reviewers of this book (and I'm talking about the ones who have actually read it, not the 1 star liberal reviewers who make a practice of trashing Flynn's books in spite of the fact they obviously haven't read them) have remarked that the story lines have become a bit predictable and I don't totally disagree with that criticism, hence the 4 star rating instead of 5. While I don't want to see Flynn retire Mitch Rapp, I think it may be time to either give him a rest or somehow try to freshen the story lines. That said, this is still a really good read. Whining liberals (even the few that actually bother to read the book before trashing it, if there actually are any) will no doubt complain, as they always do, that Flynn's conservative political leanings are too much in evidence. To that, I would counter that most of the Democrat politicians in this book (particularly President Alexander and Senator Lonsford) actually come out as looking very patriotic and acting in the best interests of the nation (unlike most Democrat politicians in real life). The hypocritical Senator Ogden (who Flynn clearly and hysterically ties to the disgusting real-life Barbara Boxer with her "please don't call me maam, I've worked too hard for the title Senator" remark), on the other hand, comes across as an arrogant turd who is far more interested in making America's intelligence services fight our enemies with both hands tied behind their backs than in helping them keep our nation secure. You know, sort of like the real Senator Boxer is.At the end of this book there are several loose ends left dangling - e.g., will Max Johnson be eliminated or join Rapp's team - same with the terrorist Hakim, and will the Russian gangster Peter Sidorov form an uneasy alliance with Rapp and become a recurring character? - that will almost certainly carry over to the next novel in the series, which I, along with all other fans of Vince Flynn, will eagerly await.Vince Flynn is a fantastic author who has created a memorable character in Mitch Rapp. The fact that he makes liberals crazy and causes them to post negative reviews of books they clearly haven't read is simply an added bonus.

Excellent book
Great book. Hard to put down with all the action and intelligence work. Story went into depth and added mystery to it.

I like........
I like all the Matt Rapp books from both authors. So sad about Mr. Flynn's passing.

The Era of Mitch Rapp is Alive and Well
I have read all of his novels as well and this is a fine and pretty quick read which carries on from the previous book and deals with the reaction to the terrorist attack on Washington. Along the way, Flynn manages to expose the weakness of the Left's arguments, often in very dramatic ways.(I was struck today that here in Maine we had a news story about AG Eric Holder appearing at our state university and giving the "Rule of Law Speech" which is torn to shreds by Mr. Flynn in this novel. He was introduced by Bill Cohen, a fellow that used to understand threats to the US and now has been so co-opted by the Washington establishment that he is basically invisable while his bank account grows doing the sort of things that former US Senators and former Clinton administration Cabinet officers do to further their financial security, while giving not a fig about yours or mine)But, I digress. This book, in my opinion is a normal continuation of the trials and tribulations of Mike Rapp. It is easy to read, hard to put down and advances the story. There are some moments along the way where a Barbara Boxer prototype is shredded by Mr. Rapp in an appearance before a Senate Committee. Wish it was fact rather than fiction, but if Flynn and Mitch live long enough, perhaps it will be.The saga..continues....

Another action-packed Mitch Rapp (12th in the series) spy/assassin novel.
As someone well into their senior years my lifelong voracious reading passions range from the scientific to the esoteric and from the classics to detective and westerns. One of the spy/assassin authors I have been reading a lot lately is Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp spy/assassin series.I just finished reading the 12th book (hard cover 438 pages) in the series (Pursuit of honor) and like all the other books in this series, Mitch Rapp is assigned the difficult task of finding and destroying the enemies of the USA. There are always American hating fanatics who have no moral compass when it comes to how many innocent people, they are willing to kill to achieve their fanatical objective. In this fast-moving adventure, Rapp is seeking three Qaeda terrorists who are responsible for organizing a group of killers who blew up various targets in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately, Rapp has to not only battle enemies from afar but also enemies within to keep America safe.I never give away too much information when reviewing any kind of novel, but if you are a fan of the late Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rap series you will love this action novel.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Tactical Principles of the most effective Combative Systems).

Amazing! So absorbing. Loved it.
It started slow, but once it got going its pace was amazing. The different perspectives and the way the enemies point of view was examined and explained was brilliant. Another great Rapp book.

absolutes MUSS

Another exciting page-turner.
Flynn is at the top of his genre. Ten books in and a Mitch Rapp is as exciting and engaging as he ever was. Great, credible plot and terrific action scenes. Not for those of a left wing, politically correct persuasion but it deals realistically with the dilemmas of fighting the anti-terrorist war, e hind the scenes, on our behalf. Bravo!
