Just "okay" as a primer on the subject of Freemasonry
An okay overview of the history of Freemasonry, not exhaustive, spills no "Secrets" and contains no information you can't get from many other sources. The book is nicely produced, however the pages are printed with a faux parchment look around the edges to make it look aged and mysterious (I suppose) however I found it made it somewhat tiring on my eyes and, frankly, too much a gimmick. I would recommend the "For Dummies" book compiled by Mason Christopher Hodapp or any number of other basic sources. Note: I am not a Mason, just interested in the subject so I have no deep knowledge. I have found conversations with Masons I know to be more informative on what it's about.

Masons not worried.
Found this to be somewhat accurate and very entertaining. A good read and fair in their conclusion s. I am a Mason, so I enjoyed the book even when they were off the mark. Nothing revealed that couldn't be found by most people with a little effort.

Bought as a gift.
He seemed to like it. Seems like a useful book for a new Freemason, or maybe a nice reference for a Mason's library.

A good read!
I enjoyed the book, but since I have been researching various facets of the material presented in this book for well over 30 years, nothing new, FOR ME, was discovered here.Nevertheless, still a fascinating read. And it still sits on my special bookshelf for special books.Arrived quickly and well packaged.

The #1 secret is that there aren't many real secrets.
First, I am a Mason. This is a very well written, thoroughly researched book targeted to those wanting a simple factual introduction to Masonry. The language is simple, clear, and easy to understand.I highly recommend this to any non-Mason or new Mason wanting to know more about the fraternity. Most especially I recommend it to the wives and families of Masons who want to understand more.

Written to in form and not to sensationalise. Well written and clear explanations of Freemasonry through the ages. Just clear and unbiased information.

My husband is a Mason
He did NOT like this book at all. He flipped through it and tossed it aside. I won't be buying this kind of book again .... for someone that is a Mason. He was very insulted with it.

Don't waste your time with this book. If you looking for something authentic look somewhere else.
