These are the world of notes for me
These notebooks... are my life. I manage two small businesses and am a graduate student. I use Evernote to scan and upload to save the pages (I used to keep the notebooks but that doesn't work well). The system I have works great. I write out any thoughts I have on the notebooks. I use a sharpie pen which is bold and doesn't run. When the notebooks get full I sit down with a coffee or whatever and go through them. I scan the pages that I feel are important and upload them to Evernote. Then I recycle the notebook (these ones are nothing but paper so there's no concern for environmental issues, per se). I tried so many notebooks... I've been in college for, my god... so freaking long... I always keep one of these with me. I can stow one in my motorcycle pocket, there's one next to my bed, and a few in my messenger bag... it's a great buy for me, and I have no interest, at this point, in buying any other kind of notebook. I just took a 4 hour exam, and had one next to me to take scribbles and do equations and put thoughts. I know that Moleskines are overpriced, but I get a lot out of them, and with the right pen they are really smooth to write on. I have carpel tunnel pretty bad and it bothers me far less with these than anything else.

Better than fieldnotes
For those of you struggling about these notebooks versus field notes... I will tell you many custom options available. For the rest of us... if you need a notebook today... these are an excellent option and I am still enjoying them. Occasionally my kids will sneak in some random art in the middle of the book like an Easter egg or secret treasure. Love it because they do

Small, simple, and perfect for travel!
I’ve found these small Moleskines to be perfect for daily use and travel and transportation! It can be difficult to lug around the regular sized sketchbook with a hardcover, so this is a great alternative. The brown cover does pick up fingerprints though if you’ve got sweaty, oily, or lotion on your hands.

Love this product. Buy again and again
Love these products! The paper is silky smooth and absorbs ink super well without bleeding or leeching through the page. I always keep this in my scrub pocket for quick notes, on the fly teaching sessions, and to doodle and draw! Nice Handy Size
These Moleskine Cahier Journals have a nice cover that is pliable enough to be slid into a pocket or purse. The size of these (3.5" x 5.5") is perfect for on-the-go drawing when out. 64 Pages is plenty for me and I like them unlined. The pages are a bit thin if you want to use markers or gel pens as it does bleed through to the back. And if pressing hard with colored pencils, it does leave impressions on the next page. I'm not that happy that the price dropped $3 since I bought them two weeks ago but good for you for getting them cheaper! Overall, a nice journal.

Great Little Journals
I'm an actively publishing writer as well as a leathercrafter. I use these for my smaller refillable journals which hold all three of them. I absolutely love these things. They're sturdy, the paper is a joy to write on, and the stitched binding gives me all the good feels. The pockets are a nice touch as well. They're perfect for traveling, and I never have to worry that my customers are receiving a subpar product when I use these. I've ordered dozens and they've always been perfect.

It's Moleskine!
I am a writer and addicted to Moleskines. Most of my journals and note pads are Moleskine. These are small, pocket sized ones. I keep them handy for notes. I have other kraft journals that are larger and love them. Although the covers are paper, the quality is incredible. Mostly, the paper within is smooth and writes so beautifully you never want to stop writing. Some journals, even high end ones, sort of 'catch' your pen, particularly if you use a roller ball or fountain pen. Moleskine doesn't do this at all. Just smooth writing for every type of pen I've used - Sharpie, fountain, rollerball, ink and rapidograph.
