I replaced one of these a couple of years ago but the handle eventually broke. I then ordered two more so I would have a spare on hand. I immediately broke the handle on one so I installed the other one and noticed I didn't route the cable on the other one very well. The second one has been in place for about six months and is doing fine so far. I have furniture that uses six of these and have only had one location break so I assume that the one location must require more pull to work properly. If the handle was made stronger they would probably last my lifetime. For the price they do the job.

Glad I bought two different sizes because I had to replace on handle on my side of the couch/recliner after just three months. I had to modify my installation onto the mechanism inside my chair. It was not difficult. It just took some thinking to make these work. I really didn't know what to order at the time. Be sure to remove your old cable from the release mechanism inside the chair first so you can match the cable length, handle types and release-ends properly.

I have replaced both releases on the two recliners I have. The first was more than a year ago when the plastic broke that held the cable retainer in place. This one was the cable actually broke. Easy to install did not have to do any fabric removal at all to install.

Will not know how sturdy it is for awhile; it's just been installed for a week..

There are a lot of these out there that look the same but are different sizes. This fit my recliner perfectly and was fairly easy to install. I'm happy and I have a backup for next time.

I had to order this 2 times. my handle on my recliner broke and i had to get a new one and this one worked great, i did have to buy 2 though but satisfied

Handle fitted well my GPlan recliner & was easy to fit BUT broke after only 4 months of use ... not used that often either

Absolute rubbish, snapped on first try after fitting, had bought two,second one lasted 4 days before breaking, complete waste of money and effort.

Useless item. The handle is made of weak plastic and it broke within 8 weeks.

This part arrived quickly, was relatively low priced, installed quickly, fit very well . . . It only lasted 2 months, you would be better of with a metal replacement part. Sorry to say but this plastic part has a design flaw, the original and this plastic replacement broke in exactly the same place. The design is just not capable of handling the stress involved during normal use.

Didn't use the cable - Nothing wrong - just didn't need it. Worked like a charm - Had in all changed in less than 5 minutes. It was easy to remove the old one (2 screws) and unsnap 1 clip to remove cable - and use the old cable - put clip back on - screw in the same 2 screws and voila - all done!!
