Hexbug Nano Robot Insect Toy Figure - Vibrant, Modern Design, Random Color, Ages 3+

This is the best toy he has and he has boxes of toys. The only other one he loves more is his drone. He follows this bug around hiding and jumping out and meowing as he bats it around. It goes over on its back like a real bug and then turns back over again continuing on. I especially like that it is quiet. But if it gets stuck somewhere you hear it so it is easy to find. Although Harvie always knows where it is! So this is a definite value and only takes one battery. He has others that need 3 batteries. I will be buying another one later on I am sure.

I got this as a gift for my 3 year old son and he (and the cat) loves it! I had to pull him away from it for a little while so he didn't completely drain the battery on the first day, I will definitely need to order some more batteries since I don't think they will last long with as much as he likes it. This is the only Hexbug we have so far and we don't have any set for it, just the bug by itself for now. It has been a lot of fun even without having the special enclosures they make for it. My son has a table with a wooden toy train set which works perfect as a giant obstacle course, it would be great with multiple Hexbugs. It also doubles as a fun cat toy when the kid isn't playing with it, or even when the kid is playing with it. It moves surprisingly quick for its size and it seems pretty durable. I recommend this to anyone looking for some inexpensive entertainment for their kids or cats, either one.Pros1. Inexpensive2. Fairly durable3. Great for kids or cats4. Very portableCons1. It's quite small so I can see it getting lost pretty easily2. If the legs get bent, it seems to want to keep going in circles (can be easily fixed by bending the legs back into shape)3. This is a fantastic toy that captures your cat or kitty's attention from the second you flip the power on. Just encourage them to "get the mouse!" and get all excited in your tone of voice and body language and the kitty will absorb your energy and will just love catching this electronic 'mouse' for you for hours! BUT, you need to watch the action and supervise where the 'mouse' goes. It can get under beds and couches and behind heavy armoires, desks, couches, etc. So, just guide the little bugger around when it gets close to an entrance you don't want it to get into and with that tiny interaction you are participating with your cat in the chase! My kitty will even now pick up the buzzing little mouse in his mouth and bring it to me. I MUCH prefer this dead mouse to the grisly kills on the doorstep!

My cat LOVES this toy. It can occupy him for hours. One thing that is kind of annoying though is that it can get stuck under our fridge and in little nooks and crannies in the kitchen. I've had to fish it out a few times. As long as you are aware of this, it is a great little toy.Also be aware that you will have to stock up on batteries (which are thankfully cheap if bought from Amazon) as a few hours of play is all that you can get out of them before you have to change them.One more thing, it only works on hard floors which for me is the bathroom and kitchen. The bug will not move in carpeted areas.All in all, this is a great way to keep your cat occupied so that he'll lose a little weight :)

I bought this for my cats... they were a little scared of it at first, but now one of them tries to carry it around in her mouth! I can't speak yet for the longevity of the batteries, but they look simple enough to replace. I'm amazed at how it will flip itself back over without my having to do it (most of the time!) It's a really cool toy. I don't leave it out all the time for the cats, but I turn it on and put it down when I can enjoy watching them play with it!

Bought this for my cats. They loved it but battery died after a couple hours.

Our cat son loves these bugs, but we already lost one to the abyss under the stove. I stuck a needle through the back of the bug, through the rubbery skin and tied a ping pong ball to it with 6lb fishing line and it worked perfect. The ping pong ball is super light but it does slow down the bug a little bit, but now he can play with it and it won't go under the appliances, and when I put it in his catit ball track, it runs around but he can't take the bug out and lose it.

I bought 2 of these for my feline friends and I am thrilled with this product. They are super-quiet, unlike many of the other electronic toys I've gotten for the kitties, which were usually too loud and just scared them. The cats are enthralled by the very bug-like motion of the Hexbug nano. They are so realistic, in fact, that my husband warned me to not let them loose on the floor late at night when he is half-asleep unless I want to see them get accidentally squashed!

Product didn’t work at all Bought new batteries as they ones it came with weren’t working and still no change. Faulty. Waste of money

These are good tiny robotic creature to play with. Kids loving them. Built quality is awesome, colors are very vibrant. You will get a random color after you order this bug. However one will get a little bored after sometime :) playing with them. It's just kept for a while on my kid's study table, he don't play with it much.Now you can regenerate the interest, How? just keep the bug out of the sight of your kid, he/she will forget and give them after a while and they start paying with it again. Battery life is good and I don't know where I can get another one to replace.

It is great fun for children but the one I got cannot flip as mentioned in the description and shown in the Video.

As the product description states assorted I was happy to receive whatever I am sent. What I didn't expect is black and grey only. I have ordered 3, none of them is a colour shown on the product site have a look at the picture.
