I bought the chrome gold shell (this item) along with some chrome red analog rings and chrome red buttons + bumpers + triggers, and man do these things look great together. Even just the chrome gold shell looks and feels fantastic. Some reviewers say it feels slippery, but I think it's more accurate to say it feels smooth. There's no risk of this thing "slipping" out of your hand when playing!It's a bit tricky to remove your old shell to install this one, but that's on Microsoft, not ExtremeRate. Once you got the old shell off, this one clicks on so easily. Materials feel great, it's clearly just as durable as the factory grey/black shell.

Glue stripes. Left and right sides have glue if you wonder why it is so hard to remove the old shell.But it does not make it impossible to remove it. You just have to be carefull. Lift one side with prying tool and then slowly keep opening it further millimeter by millimeter.

The tool provided doesn't help remove the original cover, but the new cover fits perfectly so I am extremely pleased with the final result

This product is good i returned it but that’s bc I ordered the wrong one lol so that’s on me but when I got it it was in a small package it looks super nice looks just like the picture

Looks awesome. It feels kinda slippery for the first 5 min till your hands heat it up and then if grips to my hand even better than some grips I have tried in the past. Might be different experience for others but it still grips great even with sweaty hands. Way better than the stock grips. The grips are horrible on the elite series 2 anyway. The elite series one was bad but the series 2 is worse

I had a hard time installing the buttons, by the time I got to the faceplate I was tired and irritated. Because of that I forgot to to install the clear parts that go in the center of the controller. I waited a day to take the faceplate off but when I did the top and bottom tabs that connect to the controller broke off. I’ve had this issue before when I had to remove these parts from my PS5 controller(picture included). Lastly, the gloss finish is a fingerprint magnet! It’ll look good when you wipe it off but after every use it can look pretty gross. Customer service is still excellent, when the parts for my PS5 controller broke they replaced them and they did the same this time too.

Easy to install went quick and easy

Fits perfectly, great replacement and gives a nice look combined with the same colored replacement buttons!

Take you time dismantling and installing.....YouTube has good references with this brand

Took me about 45 seconds to dissasemble and reassemble with a flathead screwdriver. No screws to undo, all plastic clips.
